Results from Alcoa came out after the Dow closed.AWC owns 40% of the company, Alcoa. The last few quarter results of Alcoa has been positive and once again the revenue has improved by 32% this quarter. It performed above analysts expectations.I overweight AWC as I bought more of it on Monday.Alcoa is expected to ramp up production any time now.AWC is up today in a down day for resources.AWC closed with a doji on Monday followed by another white candle doji yesterday.

Just to correct the reported results from the last quarter which I reported as 30%, the actual increase was more impressive,42% for AWC.The half yearly reported an increase of 59% for NPAT, underlying earnings of 93%,ROE of 32% and EPS of 26.The outlook was, demand remained strong.
Existing substantial shareholders, the CBA group has increased their holding from 8.21 to 9.34% and NWQ group from 6.7% to 8.7%.
Prices remain strong for their product and demand expects to remain strong at home and in China.
There is light at the end of the tunnel.Analysts are right at being cautious, looking at probabilities, this one has an upside risk more than a down side risk, a reason I overweight at this level, $6.20 hoping it AWC will be rerated in the near future.

Recovery continues for AWC,BLD,HSP and SFH.HSP has effectively exorcise its ghost of w/e 20/1/2006 when it dropped from a high of $5.74 to $3.84. Today it closed at $5.96 strongly and look likely to continue its climb. .

GTP is still consolidating, an entry of mine at $2.82 during the month. It always look like it is going to take off, still waiting. The price seems low at this level especially when its yearly profit always outperformed the previous one.

TIM is in the same sector as GTP. It has stalled for the time being.
