It's been a very interesting time on the London Exchange as it has on all the markets. I am anticipating the FTSE 100 index to possibly retrace even further after a substantial rise last night. Higher oil prices and the concerns over IRAQ are a factor that is weighing heavily on all the markets. Boots BP & Shell are possibly buys, and banks are always a safe haven....LLoyds Royal bank Scotland now venturing into the US, could be a shorting opportunity. I am surprised that so few of my esteemed colleagues post on this sight.....as the FTSE offers many opportunities being the worlds third largest Market. kumbia

I appreciate what you are saying. Wouldn't it be great to have the FTSE 100/200 accessible via Incrediblecharts. It happens at just the right time for day workers wanting a bit of activity in the evening. I have still to find a good site with lots of useful information on UK stocks or a good forum, Have you any suggestions. The other aspect is the FSTE and europe are really easy to trade via CMC (contacts for difference mob). I had a question teh other night that the help desk with CMC couldn't help but think I have it worked out now. Please confirm that the London exchange quotes in pence not Pounds and pence. On CMC a quote of 455.25 is not 455 pounds but 455 pence??? Comments would be of interest.

History Lesson When I was a small boy the smallest coin was the farthing ... both in size and value It was worth one quarter of a penny (or half a halfpenny) A wren or robin was the coin design on one side with the head of the King on the other With the advent of decimal currency the farthing met its end but it survives in London quotes as 0.25p Thus prices move in increments of a "farthing" 455.00p, 455.25p, 455.50p 455.75p, 456.00p and so forth Just thought you might like to know Hilarius

Hi Big Bruce I am about to open an account with cmc and start trading CFD's. I was just wondering what your thoughts are on cfd's and can you offer any advice.
