I will try to keep this simple "I am not a computer expert" maybe collin or robin can help me out here?? With my laptop I have connected my old monitor to the monitor port behind my laptop.I can now have IC charts on one monitor and be on my brokers web site"ie an IRESS platform" at the same time. To do this, after connecting second monitor goto your computers main screen with your icons on it. Now right click and select properties. Goto settings and do as the computer says. Sorry im a bit vague here, but I cant really remember what I did, BUT it was simple. It was easy and I hope colin or robin can help me in explianing this to you. Regards to all TOM

If you have Win XP it's easier to right click on the desktop and choose Graphics Options, Output To... Then you can choose which monitor to use, or have an identical image on both, or an extended desktop. This gives you more options than you can get through Properties. I find with my setup that if I want my large monitor to be the main screen with the laptop as an extension, I put it into Dual Display mode first, then switch it to Extended Desktop. If I don't do this it always defaults to the laptop being the main screen. Hope that helps. cheers Penny

Hi penny, Sorry I sounded a bit vague, I was tired and had a couple of beers . I have laptop with extra monitor set up and working. Have not tried it your way yet, but will have a go. My aim at posting is to let everyone know how simple it really is and how GREAT it is. I was just playing around with an old monitor on my laptop and bingo, I have a monitor with IC or IC forum or outlook etc, on the laptop my trading platform or world poker or whatever and can swap and change at the press of a button. Im now looking at new flat screen monitors!! Im sorry but im not very good with words. Regards TOM
