Can anyone do a EW count of the chart in 1929.I can't work it out
I found these charts interesting 2000 and 1929 pretty much played out the same
I can't upload the 2000 and 1929 overlay chart. Here is a link.
There were a few meaty to rallies too

probable Major Count
in-between there would be the Intermediate and Minor Counts which a BAR chart would be needed
Main points are :
1: the major count made a Wave 5 of 5 or Wave5 Major
2: there was a distinct 5 wave pattern down (major) if this had mearly been a correction then there would have only been 3 waves (A,B,C correction )
3:The Highs where not taking out the previous Lows (or barely if they did)
4:when Wave1(green) took out the previous Low it was a indication that the bottom was in at Wave5 -- validation was needed by Wave2 (green) NOT taking out the start of Wave 1 which was Wave 5.
5: the counts are always secondary to the EW Patterns

A,B,C Corrections (UP or DN trending )
usually after a W5 (Major, Int or Minor )
1: a 3 wave pattern in which C wave will probably end from B the same distance that B ended from W5 .
2: if C is truncated as in the first C here then it is regarded as very Bullish .
3: If C exceeds the distance from B to W5 then regarded as very Bearish with a 5 wave pattern probably in the making (a major correction is underway )
as the second C was greater then warning bells where ringing

A,B,C corrections are generally after a Wave 3 or after Wave 5 into a extended Wave 5
the ending of the C leg is the formation of Wave 5 or extended W5.
no wonder i'm confused with likes of you around here Stoian -- Just because you are confused about markets, it dos'nt follow others are -- ya clown -- i'd like to put it another way but would end being banned

Coyotte, Thanks for your count.
I too have the Miner book and all i can see is that 1929 had an extended C leg down.
Read your post on Daily Bread for the ASX. If we are a 5 wave down then does it mean we will possibly have an ABC up followed by another 5 wave down ?

from eyeballing, W3 Major would appear to have 5 Intermediate Waves within it --- just as Miner says it should .
XJO :
a point to note about AdvGET is the Wave Counts will move until they are confirmed, therefore the W3 Major (blue circle) could and probably will move from it's present projection @ 4850 along with W5 Int until they are confirmed
but as W3 is normally the longest, W5 should not exceed it , so W5 Int should not go below 4700.
as you point out being a W3 it is also possible that a ABC formation instead of W4 Major could form here.
though as Miner points out EW is only part of it , you need to have " Price + Time + Pattern" coincide for the change to occur .

Coyotte, In my book, W3 doesn't have to be the longest of the impulsives. It just can't be the shortest, otherwise the pattern is invalidated. More often than not it is the longest, and as such forms part of a classic 5 wave impulsive wave.
