Usually both the house and senate write their own bills if they pass in both houses then they go to a committee to work out any differences then the bill goes to the president.

If the house which is considered the lower house of congress writes a bill and they vote on it and it fails it doesn't out right die the senate can pick it up change it and send it back to the floor of the house to vote as is. the house since they voted no once cannot make changes on the senate bill.

What your seeing right now is the backdoor of politics to get a bill passed.

Not being one to subscribe to conspiracy theories I have taken a lot of what you discuss with a truckload of salt, but that responsible popular culture source has displayed a video <http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1954933468700958565&hl=es> from Hal Turner that might explain the magic of the US$ ATM (I can not think of too much else that logically explains the gyration).

Not sure that he is a shrinking violet <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/hal_turner> but worth a watch to get a balanced view (take it or leave it).

Sales of credit card asset-backed debt are down 29 percent to $60.3 billion from a year ago, according to JPMorgan.

American Express used the Federal Reserve's commercial facility program for the first time on Oct. 29 as available funding shrank.

This guy has summed up current economic events and the 'solution' to this problem: the absurd approach of
1. Miracle of the stimulus package,
2. No little screw-ups will be rewarded,
3. More unsecured borrowed money, the government has figured out more borrowing and spending will solve the problems of irresponsible home buyers & big business that can not cut it in the marketplace

For this Ponzi scheme to be 'discovered' things must be crook, and yes 'insanity defense' might just work for him.

Based on what I see disclosed on the web I think each of us is in for real tough economic times over the next say 2 - 5 years: like bursting housing bubble, capital distruction, baby boomer demographics, Hyperinflation, Bank nationalisation, Peak oil demand, Shifting climate, Reduced saving and Increased debt, briefly a paradigm change to what we know......

I have been using the holiday break to do some research and FWIW I can recommend another website (run by Chris Martenson ~ does not appear to have been mentioned here before) where the issues relevant to the economic crisis are covered in bite sized chunks, and what's more he provides a framework of personal action that one might consider....

He focuses on massive change facing us relating to:
1st. “E” is the economy
2nd. “E” is energy
3rd. “E”, the environment

He covers Exponential Growth (Keeting's "J" curve) as it relates to our natural world and the economy. I found his method of presentation be user friendly (short enough to maintain attention span ~ even if I had to watch some more than once to get my head around them) and "right on the money".

Briefly his basic advice given during my in-person Crash Course lectures was:

1. Get out of debt.
2. Get some inflation protection.
3. Diversify out of US dollars.
4. Take control of your finances ~ using his planning guides (cost nothing and perhaps provided for ultruistic reasons)....

Jeanette Fitszimmons the co-leader of the Green party in New Zealand has signed the politicians for 911 truth petition.

Although Jeanette wishes to emphasise that she signed the petition as a private citizen first and politician second it remains a fact that she is the first sitting front bench MP of any country willing to make a stand and sign a petition demanding a new investigation into the events of 911. The Green party is currently in the opposition but until November last year was part of the governing Labour government and the third biggest party of New Zealand.

MORE than 300 rioters were arrested in Paris as baton-wielding gangs clashed with police in protests over President Nicolas Sarkozy's handling of the financial crisis.

At least 10 police officers were seriously injured in the Place de la Nation, in the east of the French capital, where 85,000 people completed a largely peaceful protest.

Nationally, some three million showed their anger at President Sarkozy.

As fires were lit and shop windows smashed soon after 8pm last night, riot police unleashed rounds of tear gas at a mob of about 750 youths.

Fighting broke out on all corners of the square, with police snatch squads moving in to arrest ring leaders. Chants of "Sarkozy resign" were heard, as what appeared to be well organised gangs went on the rampage in surrounding streets, targeting banks and other symbols of capitalism.

By midnight there had been at least 300 arrests, with 49 charged with serious public order offences.

A report released by Paris police said 100 members of the mob had been "particularly violent" and were armed with batons and metal bars.

Disturbances broke out in other major cities, including Marseille and Toulouse, with tear gas and baton charges also being used to control crowds in Saint-Nazaire on the Brittany coast.

Earlier demonstrations combined with a general strike brought more than three million people on to the streets across the country, trade unions claimed.

While police estimates were lower the figure was expected to beat the two million who protested at the end of January. Schools, courts, post offices, universities and hospitals were closed, with public transport severely disrupted, as up to 200 marches were organised.

The latest strike has wide support across the country, with 75 per cent of those questioned in polls this week saying they feared for their future and supported industrial action.

President Sarkozy announced proposals, including tax breaks and social benefits, after January's strike but protesters said the £2.3billion deal was not enough.

He rejected mounting calls by unions and the opposition for him to suspend a 50 per cent cap on income tax, arguing it would drive wealthy taxpayers abroad. Many are angry that companies such as oil giant Total are making staff redundant while simultaneously announcing record profits.

Geithner does not want a fair bidding process, nor does he want to arrive at a fair market value of assets. Rather, Geithner does want to avoid a hit to bondholders, at seemingly any taxpayer cost.

The Real Plan
Here is the real plan that now seems odds on to succeed.

The Plan: Dump $500 billion of toxic assets on to unsuspecting taxpayers via a public-private partnership in which 93% of the losses are born by the taxpayer.

Blatant Lies From Geithner

Geithner's two statements below are blatant lies.

1) “The investors are taking risk, their money is at risk and at stake”

1R) The reality is the investors at "PIMROCK" who participate in this plan will be reducing risk. They are willing to take a 7% hit by overbidding on toxic assets in order to guarantee payout on $trillions of bonds.

2) Allowing investors to leverage their money with government contributions and guarantees “is a relatively conservative structure,” similar to when an individual obtains a mortgage to buy a house.

2R) The reality is that Geithner's plan is NOT a "relatively conservative structure". Geithner's plan is a purposeful attempt to dump trillions of dollars worth of toxic assets right into taxpayers' laps, just to bail out the banks that got us into this mess.

The Royal Bank of Scotland is to shed a further 9,000 jobs, half of them in the UK.

BBC Scotland understands the losses are to be in its back office operations.

These include document processing, information technology, procurement and bank property - a division known as Group Manufacturing.

The company would not say where the job losses would have most impact within the UK. Unions described the news as "truly devastating".

State Sovereignty Update: South Dakota and South Carolina Forging Ahead

In South Dakota, only one step remains for the “Cease and Desist” resolution (HCR 1013) to pass: the Governor must sign the resolution. That’s because the South Dakota Senate passed the resolution, 20-14. Only one Democrat (Ryan Maher) voted for the resolution. Republican Sens. Jim Bradford and Tom Dempster voted with the Democrats against the resolution.

In South Carolina, the House has passed its sovereignty bill, H. 3509, and it is currently in the Senate Judiciary Committee, where it is likely to be recommended favorably.

Sen. Shane Martin (R, District 13) will be attending a meeting of activists in Greenville to give an update to supporters of the measure.

Earlier in the month, the Oklahoma Senate passed that state’s resolution, SJR 10, by a vote of 25-17.

Technically, the US congress has the ability to simply mint a one off coin... say perhaps a commemorative "Jubilee" coin to the value of US$12Trillion and in one blow pay off the Federal Reserve (i.e. the userers) debt in full.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The federal seizure of struggling Florida thrift BankUnited FSB is expected to cost the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. $4.9 billion, representing the second-largest hit to the FDIC's insurance fund since the financial crisis began felling banks last year.

The costliest was last year's seizure of California lender IndyMac Bank, on which the bank insurance fund is estimated to have lost $10.7 billion.

The Office of Thrift Supervision, a Treasury Department agency, said Thursday that BankUnited FSB reported $1.2 billion in losses last year as defaults on loans piled up. The thrift "was critically undercapitalized and in an unsafe condition to conduct business," the agency said in a statement.

Coral Gables, Fla.-based BankUnited FSB is the 34th federally insured institution to be closed this year, and the biggest.

This Fresno CA news-channel (above) is a FOX subsidiary - well that of Murdoch's FOX network. And anyone with Internet access already should know these discrepancies but perhaps silent by much practice or indoctrination - well not all can cope thinking the Government is actually plotting against them - and in _every_ meaningful way - so the debt boulder is given everyone to lug around to prevent them from achieving something more important than simply struggling all their lives for meagre existence.

The question REALLY is: did this interview sneak through the censors or does the hierarchy GIVE permission to release tacidly or otherwise (to test the waters). If so, there is probably a reason in mind for later... to perhaps excuse something more macabre in the offing to come - or perhaps just to divert attention while they trash some other country (like they did Iran) fro the sake of more blood money. You know that story already.

Cyber security is a red herring. Echelon (the CIA's secret "wire tapping sevice") has always had (and already uses) capabilities to monitor every communication on the planet - be it analog land line or digital transfer.

The cyber-attacks (other than hacking into someone's system without their knowledge) consist primarily of DoS - being Denial of Service attacks. This is usually achieved via many computers across the network which having been previously infected with a virus that allows some remote instruction to initiate an otherwise legitimate "ping" communication between computers on a network to then together all start cumulatively sending these repeated ping messages to some "unprotected" computer on that same network causing its suffocation. The multiple "pings" are usually acknowledged by the receiving computer by sending a return "ping" as reply and to acknowledge receipt. (simply put) an overload of these pings being processed can slow the receiving computer to a standstill, either by processor its own overload or the bottleneck created by the data transfer volume overload. Professional system managers do not allow ping message to be acknowledged by the receiving computer. They are received, recognized and promptly ignored. It would appear therefore that sensitive computers which are subject to DoS attacks are those which are managed by incompetent (perhaps now ignorant by choice) system administrators. This is a red herring as a security issue I believe. It is at best a nuisance to properly configured web-servers. The attack ceases when the pings cease. They cease when there isn't any reply from the target computer.

Hacking into another networked computer does not cause network traffic blockage/slowdown but depending on the intent of the hacker can be used to either alter data to suit ones self, or transfer to another computer surreptitiously.

Hacking cannot be successfully be prevented because the method of any system penetration always involves some compromised user created password. Methods of obtaining these passwords have varied, but in some cases in the recent past simply involved calling the target entity's controller and simply pretending to be trying to access some (your pretend) account but not being able to remember the a login password.

Knowing the answer to some generally posed but non-secret information concerning the legitimate user's account would sometimes allow access to a reissue of password be granted over the phone.
Have you ever needed to call the bank to remind yourself of a password? Secret passwords have very often been able to be guessed... Son's name, Wife's maiden name, birthdays, etc. This list isn't inexhaustible and has been successfully guessed at in the past by determined (fanatical) hackers - none of whom has ever been a terrorist) - Although the definition of a terrorist is being revised down (by the ObeyMe Nation) to include all gun-owners Constitutional Free Speech or Bill or Rights advocates up to and including Ron Paul car-sticker subscribers to name but a few.

The story that Russian hackers have hacked into the US electricity grid is probably true. What can they do there? They can turn the lights on and off in Obie's office. That's pretty dangerous. (he wouldn't be able to turn it back on himself.)

The red herring is here is to help acclimatize users to allowing the government to eventually manage their online "security" (whilst themselves not being able to properly manage the DOD, CIA, FBI or White House communications).

China already has such a system in place and with the co-operation of Google(CIA) extends this purpose.

It is envied by the White House which needs to create another national "scare" (such a Obie's East Coast West Wing lights going down) to implement the required censorship.
The excuse of online child pornography is also a great argument to help try convince someone of the need for censorship. (Prosecution of the crime would be more effective.)

I have read about car dealerships being removed from the hands of honest no-fault family business with no compensation to losses; and simply handed over to "new" management because the Banks of course effectively now owned the business... now made a gift to some slimy insider mates to manage. Businesses which in some cases had been completely refurbished by the owner of the franchise (and at the car manufacturers insistence) only just prior to being stolen from under them by the foreclosing Banksters.

Incidentally, the video of the KMPH 26 FOX interview with Richard Gage was ranked in the ten most viewed last Friday. That's quite a record.

Aside: The popularity of Alex Jones videos has been so high for so long that Google disabled the view count and You-tube(Google owned) has tried to completely remove access to his films and radio broadcasts claiming possible copyright infringement because he held up a newspaper headline to camera in one scene. Jones' program is an acquired taste I have to say and is difficult to enjoy listing to regularly, but he tells the truth as he sees it and he can't be touched legally for his revelations. Truth if it can be proven, is still an absolute defense in a US court of law (at least for those such prominent individuals the likes of Jones). Otherwise, he might well have already been jailed by the very scum he denounces daily. He's the penultimate Goldstein of the Orwell's nightmare masterpiece "1984" unfolding here and now before our very eyes.

This one would be very interesting . Obtain a site somewhere along the flight path of the aircraft that hit the Pentagon . Take a small twin engine airplane. If possible fit it out with transponders that would give impression that it was much larger aircraft plus the necessary equipment to fly it via remote control from afar. Trace the path of doomed aircrqaft and see how close it gets to the Pentagon.

Remember don't buy GM products . It's a government run company - need I say more.

countries) in fact tried to warn the US of 9/11 attacks but was ignored.
This video is 2h 17m long and makes it clear how the agenda of the
so-called "One World Government" is being implemented and by whom.

It is plainly conceivable and entirely likely in the examination of
these events that the Jewish people's tormented quest for Zion
(religious homeland) has itself been absolutely hijacked now for some
time by the likes of Kissinger, Brezhinsky, Bush, Cheney Rumsfeld, Rice,

Could the most audacious terrorist attack in history be a “sophisticated masterpiece of demolition”?

That’s what chemistry professor Niels Harrit has been asking, following his investigation of the World Trade Centre rubble, which has revealed traces of explosives.

RT: Professor Niels Harrit, you examined the rubble that came from the World Trade Center. What did you find in it?

Niels Harrit: Well, in there we find the remains of what we characterize as thermetic material, and this is a very energetic material which can be used either for melting iron, or it can be designed as an explosive.

RT: So, what effect would nano-thermite have had on the collapse of the towers on September 11?

Niels Harrit: Actually, within this group of authors behind this paper, which we published in April, there are diverging opinions about what this nano-thermite was used for. And my opinion is: we should not speculate on a scenario for the demolition. There is no doubt that the three towers were demolished on 9/11. But beyond that there is very solid evidence that some thermite has been used for melting the steel beams. We do not know if the thermite that we have found is the same thermite which has been used for melting the beams. It’s very, very possible that different varieties were used, and I personally am certain that conventional explosives were used too, in abundance.

RT: When you say “in abundance,” how much do you mean?

Niels Harrit: Tons! Hundreds of tons! Many, many, many tons!

RT: So we are not just talking about nano-thermite. In fact, we are talking about both nano-thermite and conventional explosives used in large quantities…

Niels Harrit: We have not found remains or traces of conventional explosives. Actually, we’ve suggested and recommended to NIST, which is the National Institute of Standards and Technology, that they should look for remains or traces of explosives, and they have refused to do that every time. They have not investigated it.

RT: In terms of the nano-thermite, the traces of which you did find, what are the possible explanations for its presence in the World Trade Center? I mean, could it have been in the airplanes, or could it have been a naturally occurring substance in any way?

Niels Harrit: The two last options I can definitely rule out. It could not have come from the airplanes. If it had been there beforehand – those who put it there, I urge them to step forward and tell us how and why it got there. One thing, which has been mentioned frequently in the discussion following our publication, is that this could be the primer paint which was applied to the steel beams in order to prevent corrosion. And many of the ingredients are the same. In terms of the iron oxide, as I told you, which is red in color, you see it hugely on steel beams when they are protected, it’s iron oxide… So, some of the chemicals in there are the same. But the composition of the primer paint used… there are two very good reasons for it not being paint, in my opinion. One is that the composition, chemical composition of the paint, primer paint, used in the World Trade Center, according to NIST (the National Institute of Standards and Technology) is vastly different from that what we are seeing. To be specific, I’d say that we are missing large amounts of chromium, zinc, and magnesium. Next, which can be understood by everyone, is that the paint applied on the steel beams is stable to elevated temperatures. NIST did experiments with the steel beams, because they wanted to use the appearance of the paint as a measure for the temperature the steel beams had been exposed to. And let me be specific. When you heat this steel beam up 250 degrees Centigrade, it starts cracking. This is because the steel expands more than the paint. They get what they call mat cracks. And it keeps on cracking until the temperature is above 650 degrees, where it starts peeling off, forming scales. This continues to about 800 degrees, when this scaling becomes excessive. But it does not burn. So, the paint on the steel beams is stable beyond 800 degrees Centigrade. Now, the stuff we have found ignites at 430 degrees Centigrade. So, it is not the primer paint. So, what I can say is… Is this nano-thermite? Well, it quacks like a duck, it waggles like a duck, it looks like a duck, maybe it’s a duck? This is all we can say.

RT: It’s now around three months since your article was first published. What’s the response been like? I understand it’s one of the first times you’ve been interviewed for an English-speaking audience.

Niels Harrit: For what you call the mainstream media, there has been dead silence, except for two interviews I’ve done on Danish television. It has taken off on the Internet to an extent that I had not anticipated. But on the official, organized level, it’s a roaring silence, I must say.

RT: Just going back a bit. What first piqued your interest in 9/11? How did you first come to examine the rubble? What did you expect to find?

Niels Harrit: Back two and a half years, I think, when I accidentally saw the collapse of Building 7. And to those who do not know this, we should make it absolutely straight that there were two airliners, but there were three skyscrapers. Most people associate the World Trade Center with the Twin Towers. But the World Trade Center was a center. There were seven buildings, and the towers were number one and number two. Now, number three, number four, number five and number six were relatively small buildings from nine to 22 stories. But Building 7 was a huge building close to two hundred meters high, 47 stories, with a footprint at the level of a small soccer field. And it came down 20 minutes past five in the afternoon; this was seven hours after the North Tower collapsed. I saw this accidentally and I said: “What is this? This is the World Trade Center. What!?” And I had to see it again. Because most people didn’t know about Building 7. And it is going down completely symmetrically in 6.5 seconds. Z-z-z-u-p! Like that! And as a scientist, you are trained to watch your environment in an analytical fashion. You always think: how does this happen and how does that happen? And this I just couldn’t understand or cope with. Why should this building come down, which I had never heard of before? It comes down with no apparent reason. So I have to push the button again and again. And it took me weeks actually to digest this. And I think this is common to most people – to realize what you have seen. But once you have realized this, there is no way back. So you can either speak out, or you can live in shame. And from that on I got more and more interested. And I found that the evidence for a controlled demolition is overwhelming. The evidence for thermite is also. First, I told you that the thermite reaction produces molten iron. Now, molten iron was pouring out of one of the towers, and molten iron in pools under the rubble after 9/11 for weeks and months. The surface temperature was 735 degrees after three days of heavy showers. It took them three months to put out the fire. It was declared officially extinguished on December 20th. Now, this is the kind of fire! And the point is that the thermite kept on reacting. This was a witch’s brew of thermite chemistry. For three months! Very sophisticated, very complicated. It’s a masterpiece of demolition.

RT: And who would be capable of producing of such a masterpiece of demolition?

Niels Harrit: It is not competitive with the official conspiracy theory, the one with Osama Bin Laden and 19 highjackers. I am an anti-conspiracy theorist. I am against the official conspiracy theory. We must have a criminal investigation to find out what. This was a crime and it has never been investigated.

RT: You were the first team to have examined the rubble, and the first team to have picked this up. Why do you think that is?

Niels Harrit: Technically, the collapses were investigated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. So, they should have looked into the dust, and they have been encouraged many times to look for remains of explosives, to look for remains of thermite. And actually, when there is a fire in the United States, which is suspicious, or which is violent, or which is unexpected, according to some regulation, you should look for thermite. Because you can use it for arson; and if you want to burn your house, this is the way to do it. You cook up a thermite reaction, and you go on vacation, and you can trigger it with your cell phone at a long distance, if you wish. So, this is routine for the FBI to look for remains of thermite. This they do very frequently actually. But they didn’t do it this time.

RT: But obviously you are a real scientist, so it is understandable you don’t want to be associated with conspiracy theorists and don’t like that kind of term. What would you say to people who do lump you into that same category?

Niels Harrit: Then I must repeat, I mean, who is being fooled here? Because the official conspiracy theory, yeah, people call me strange things, and conspiracy theory is… the word theorist is not meant kindly. But who is being fooled here, when we are being presented with the official conspiracy theory? Without any proofs, without a criminal investigation, with nobody being charged with this and no one is wanted? Osama Bin Laden is not wanted by the FBI for this! I mean, shouldn’t there be some questions to ask here? So, I will turn the question back and say, “Who are the fools?”
