Hi, How volume is counted for Australian stocks? Is sell/short selling volume counted? Or the volume that we see is just the buy volume? Is volume for other stock markets counted the same way? Thanks. Regards, YJ

Reported volume includes short selling. Every sale has a buyer and a seller. Short sales are no exception. Regards, Colin

Thanks for the prompt reply. When a person buys/sells/short sells a stock, it will be counted as one unit of volume? Is there any way to know the proportion of volume attributed to buying, selling or short selling? Thanks.
