_ _ _ _ Hi folks, ..... whole squares of numbers often figure, as pivots, in congestion and distribution zones. 3969 = 63 x 63 4096 = 64 x 64 and exactly 1400 points up from 13 March 2003 lows ..... 2696 for XJO. ===== Uptrends are not stopped easily and while we may see some significant breathers along the way, our market may not roll over for a good while yet. Price targets at 4489 (67 squared), 4937 and an extreme target at 5386, should see some serious selling and one significant, short-term target date may be 24012005 ..... Check the chart: http://www.ttrader.com/mycharts/display.php?p=28701&u=yogi_in_oz&a=Starcode%20Tr aders&id=674 ..... why would you fight it? happy trading all yogi

Hi Yogi, Thanks for some tremendous posts during 2004. Gann is still something that is beyond me!! I do agree that the upside momentum in the market will take some stopping - "BUT" - Remember 1987? XA0 Advance Decline Line (RELATIVE Chart, Weekly):
The divergence in the A/D Line from the XAO suggests (to me) that more and more of the XAO's run is being concentrated in fewer and fewer equities - ergo if we interpret High Value = "Strength", then the strength is not broadly based. I am beginning my rigorous sector analysis for 2005 a little earlier this year since I want to give myself enough time over Xmas to ponder what might unfold in 2005. regards

Muzza, Thanks for the great chart - that is one hint/evidence I have been searching high and low for. I think it is worthwhile to keep this chart on constant review because I am sure it is going to tell us a lot more in times to come. If I am going to furnish a guess, the decline in momentum will manifest itself into a double or multiple peaks and then follow by a deep slide down. Right now I believe I am seeing the first sign that the index is not showing the full picture of the total market. Keep up the good work. Regards.

Muzza, I agree with you and Holycow about the recent run seeming not to be broad based and it is also showing in Perler's regular posting of the ASX300 A/D line which has flattened and dipping. Because I dont play too much in the top end (say ASX50) companies or small caps (Market cap must be > $100M) I have noticed for the first time that my portfolio often underperforms on the good XAO days I suspect because the top end is where the money has been flowing a lot of the time lately. Conversely I seem to have a pattern of better performance on days when the XAO is mooching along or down a bit. No doubt change is afoot but the market may continue for weeks or months or longer, hard to say at this point. Tony_M

Hello Yogi, Is there any significance that your extreme high target above of 5386 is exactly double the low for XJO of 2693.3 in March 2003? Ken
Price is the leader of the market crowd. (Elder) Members of the crowd follow the leader and experience the same emotions as each other. To be independent of the crowd we must not change our behaviour with price.

Hi folks, Gann's trading year started on the March equinox, which marks the change of season about 21st March, annually. ..... since march 2000, we have seen XJO/SPI make major turns and moves on the equinoxes ..... at least 5 of the past 12 seasonal markers have seen MAJOR turns in our Aussie market. Similar swings may also be seen in US markets. Add to this a rare event above us may be triggered, at about 13:45 AEST, today. (Devil's Star) ..... would not be surprised to see tensions in the Middle East explode onto the world stage again, possibly with a focus on Iran as a player, this time. Reverse focus on the same chart brings us back to events on west coast USA ..... (not Rita?). Watching this one closely. ..... now short XJO/SPI, from around 11:45 AEST. happy days yogi

Hi folks, ..... if you are still around Archer, you will probably have noticed the acceleration in trend from the lows on the September 2006 equinox, as well !~! You will remember, for some months we have been calling for XJO to go beserk in Feb 2007. Well, you will be glad to know, that nothing has changed !~! So far, XJO has been trading to the script, but the best is yet to come ... for, if you think our XJO has been strong, just wait a couple of weeks for the grand finale in this rally !~! Whilst there is an underlying negative cycle, that will bring on long-term changes, Feb 2007 may bring us, some spectacular short-term gains. So, looking at XJO time cycles for February 2007: 05-06022007 ... minor and positive light on XJO 08022007 ... minor aspect, but positive too 09022007 ... negative close ??? 12022007 ... serious rally may get started 15-21022007 ... XJO goes into the stratosphere? 07032007 ... 2 cycles here ... a NEGATIVE spotlight on XJO, possibly partly due to finances (interest rates?) or a currency rise ? 02042007 and 11042007 may also be interesting dates for XJO, in April 2007 happy days yogi

Yes Yogi ive been watching those equinox and solstice dates for many years now as they provide some exciting timing on many occasions You could be right about Feb as this market should just keep blowing off till it can blow no more(;-> The October repeat madness im not so sure about unless there is somewhat of a crash between march and october Should be a very interesting year

Does anyone know where Archer has gone? I'm sure I am not the only one who misses his informative posts. Murray.
