Colin,
In your Trading Diary, you mention that
(Information Technology [XIJ] - stage 4 (RS is falling)). When I look at this Sector with the RSI plotted, I have found that the RSI has risen since the 17th. Dec. 2002, also the Twiggs Money Supply as well, although it has dropped back a little over the last week. Am I reading this correctly?

John

Are you clear about the distinction between Relative Strength (Price Ratio: xao) and the RSI (Relative Strength Index)?

I use the Price Ratio (XAO) to check the strength of the sector comparative to the market as a whole. Look for trend changes (higher/lower troughs and peaks) on the indicator line.

Colin

I was surprised to read the Trading Diary 14/02/03 and see you have indicated that Property Trusts were in a stage 2 & RS was rising. My assessment is that property Trusts are in a huge bear market and are in a stage 4 if I have ever seen one.

Trading diary 14/02/03. You say Property Trusts are in a stage 2 & RS is rising. By my analysis prop trusts are in a stage 4. I believe they are very bearish. What are your thoughts

XPJ has broken it long-term trendline at [B] but still has to break the support level from the previous trough at [A]. Relative Strength (price ratio: xjo) is still rising. This may be the start of a stage 3 top rather than a stage 4 decline. The next few weeks should tell.
