Colin, just discovered the price comparison feature on this excellent site. Comparing a stock to index for its relative strength am having following confusion. When index 1 and index 2 and price line are viewed at 6 months, price is stronger than indexes 1 2 but when view same at full time frame (6 years plus) index 1 is above 2 and above price line contrary to short view. Do I ignore the long one (I suspect)? Many thanx, buddy

Buddy Price Ratio/Comparison are calculated using the ratio of prices on the first day of the chart. If you change the time period - the ratio will change. Colin

I am new to charting Colin (3 mnth) what time frame would you use, to view the comparison feature, to be able to reliably identify a divergence, and why is that time frame chosen and not a shorter or longer one. Is there a known technical rule of thumb for example that should be followed? buddy

Buddy You first have to decide on what cycle you are trading/analyzing: the primary, secondary or short cycle. Then identify divergences in the appropriate time frame. Colin

Dear Colin, Thank you very much for the wonderful service you have provided. I am wondering how we compare individual gold stocks to the gold sector? Thank you. Ingrid.
