Hi all welcome to New Series 6 week 12 Place your entries in here, Please check the continuation rule. New tipster's always welcome. ENTRY CONDITIONS Please ensure that all entries are made in the following format and on one line. poster (lower case) ASX CODE (UPPER CASE) L - S - LC - SC (UPPER CASE) with shorts S in RED e.g.: poster XYZ L Please post details on the same line as per the above example (for faster cut & paste to spreadsheet) Leave one line space before greetings, salutations and 'stock ramping'. 10:00 Deadline for all new entries. LC entries must be made before the close of the market on the preceding week. And here's the rules. 1) The competition is for thirteen weeks. Starting on Monday 1 October 2007 and finishing on Friday 28 December 2007. That is, all contestants start with an accumulated total of Zero and build it up weekly from a starting stake of $5000. Only one stock (per week) may be nominated by a competitor. 2)You must post a chart. No chart - no entry. It would also be desirable that you briefly explain your reasons for making your choice. Captions within charts are acceptable. The purpose of the chart is to clearly illustrate the reasons for your choice. Note: For reasons of clarity Colin has requested that there should be no more than two indicators per chart. If you wish to show more indicators then please post two or more charts. 3)You must obey the Forum rules. I.e. no disrespect to other members. 4) Shorts are allowed - subject to the following guidelines:- Anyone can enter a short - but it will be the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that it's on the official ASX list. I'm not going to check it myself. If any other competitors lodge a protest that the stock is not on the list - and that proves to be the case - then instant disqualification. Follow this link for available shorts http://www.asx.com.au/data/shortsell.txt 5) The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 6) (a) Continuation: Contestants may nominate that the stock they picked for the current week will also be their pick for the following week. However, this decision must be announced and posted in the new week’s thread BEFORE 4.00PM on the Friday of the current week. So you can post on Thursday night if you wish after the new thread has been posted. (b) You may also have a fresh selection that can be posted from the Thursday night which will receive Fridays close price if posted before the close on Friday. What this means is that if you either forget or purposefully refrain to nominate that particular stock as a continuation before Friday’s close but still choose to run with it in the following week then the starting price for your entry will be the new week’s Monday’s open rather than the previous week's (Friday) close. If you wish to choose to pick one stock to last for the whole (or remainder) of the competition you may do so but you must clearly specify this before the appropriate close-off time. If you do this then you WILL need to make weekly “reminder” posts that you are continuing. Cheers Bluedog

Many thanks for your efforts, Bluedog ... they have been greatly appreciated by all players here, in the weekly challenge. We wish you best of luck with your future endeavours and trust, that you will continue to make regular entries, here. Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2008 ... !~! happy days paul P.S. ... in the interest of a smooth transition, i will take over the reins from this week (if you wish) ... but, don't let that deter anybody from putting up their hand, to help out ... particularly, when the academic year starts again, in 2008 ... !~!

Dolphin....Chart for CDS...LC Was going to pick this one two weeks ago(and could have picked up the "runner-up" booty) and definitely should have picked it for week 11(good enough to win!) so its a case of third time lucky????...Ah, just sour grapes, guys. Technically, still holding its price and momentum uptrends(Williams%R 14day), broke its upside resistance today on higher vols(on a overall -ve ASX day), closed near its highs and still well bid. Should press onwards from here but for a whole week??? My personnel thanks to Bluedog for all the good voluntary work you have done to keep this comp. afloat. Best of luck! Dolphin

rockon MAE S Bulls have pushed hard over the last week or so but the last two days have seen the sellers win out.Maybe a bit more downside to go before Chrissy, but plans for early 2008 may see this one turn the corner very soon. Thanks to Bluedog and Yogi.

TEL : The XTJ seems to have more life in it than either the XJO or XMM .
may be time to have switch over to Local Majors with a secure cash flow and high divs -- TEL -- PE of 10 with a Div 10%. .
10/30 wkly turning UP and Above -- Xover yet to occur. History would suggest it is notorious for False Breaks in either direction -- hence no "testing " -- either it do'es break out and carries on , else close immediately . .
Above a declining 150 dma -- TMF confirming up move. Points to note: Has respected the lower channel. Friday's Open was a Gap down to the Channel , thence steady buying during the rest of the day until right on the Close with the expected WE selling --- held and improved it's position during a Down Market Day. .
The "Sea of Uncertainty" is defeated by the nimble vessel "Probability", not the unwieldy vessel "Prediction".
