Tracking New Highs in this Sloppy Market brought this to attention. It has Limited Shares on Issue-84.5 mil It's come out of Suspension recently so it's "Dangerous" woooooo and it's had it's register "taken over" by two BigBoys who may well be sharpies. So I bought some today!
Now [a] marks the period 28/11 to 1/2/08 where this AIM Pommie listed Mob called Red Rock bought 10% for 11-13 cents a chunk. and [b] marks 11/2-14/2 +18/2 + yesterday where this fella Andrew Tsang bought 14.6% of the company for av 20.4 cents[the orange horiz] Anyhow,I'm fascinated by Colourful characters who become Substantial Holders on the basis of Rock Chip Samples of Iron Ore in Western Australia. One needs to know that either of them can trade 1[One] Percent of the Total Listed ie 84.5mil so 1%=845,000 845k can be bought or sold WITHOUT putting in Change of Substantial Holding Notice. So at this time I'm assuming these two aren't doing d'Fly by Night even though they're really in the Money with their "Investments". With that assumption goes Whatta they know that I don't? so I bought with Wide Stops to pass the time while I find out. cheers.

The Plot Thickens- This penny ante $18 mil cap Company Red Rock is some spin off by Regency something or other but I assume Regency is a Big Boy and it still owns a fair whack of tiddler Red Rock. Andrew Tsang is sending in his Notices via Fax from Aequs Securities which seems to be some Boutique Broker Type that advises on merger, aquisitions etc blah to Institutions and obviously High Net Worth Individuals or maybe FRONTS Now our Andy is doing a "weird" thing in his Sub Notes in that he's declaring a 660k associate's interest in his Chop held by one Chun Xiang Zeng. Now I'd want to point out that 1]Other than a spouse holding there is little Legal Reason for a Sole Holder like Andy to have to declare an "associates" holding. 2]However if Chun is a Spouse, one has to wonder WHY Andy didn't buy in Joint Names the whole 14% for even Tax Reasons. 3]So IF not Spouse I reckon Andy used his own money to buy in Chun's Name. That's why he's legally required to Declare. so I went on d'Search for Info. Over at Warm Pig they told me Chun was Andy's wife BUT they cited some SS[other chat room] post as Confirmation which is how mis-information gets around, hey? So I did a Back Up Search using the Only Chinese Person who has any idea at all about why I'm asking and that was Self Exiled Holy Cow.He just got back to yours truly after emailing China and d'HC opinion is that Chun Xiang Zeng is a Bloke's Name. Now do ya follow? It's getting convoluted,I agree. and I know Andy lives in Sydney [nudge nudge] BUT I'd rather think this "Conspiracy" didn't end up being Flumoxed by that, know what I mean, wink, wink. I prefer to think that there's REALly BIG THINGS Going ON in MDX.International Intrigue and stuff like that in a Share I HOLD. more developments tomorrow......

Good to see you're reading Announcements now, hibi. Tsang's Average Hold Price now 23 cents. There's been action in the Options, too [MDXAO]. Neither Substantial Holder [Red Rock 10% or our Andy ~16%] neither has to declare their Option Holdings in Their Substantials Notes.Only when they're Fully Paid. So,hibi, the accumulation/raid is on two fronts and Red and Tsang are NOT Colluding but in Competition for MDX with only Rock Chip Assays done. cheers.

That's up to the 20th Hibi so he may well be 20% now. Hibi there's these clauses, conditions re Takeovers.Have you studied these recently and can tell me about them [or anyone else?]? Vaguely it goes something like this- In some circumstances you need 90% ShareHolder Approval/Acceptance. Red Rock with 10% ish would hinder this. I think in some other circumstances 80% is required than a Compulsory TakeOver can happen. Is this right? If so what circumstances? Also can you confirm or deny that a 20% Holding requires some Statement of Intention, sorta thing? Like a 20% Holder [ie Mr Tsang] has to make some kind of Statement about whether he's going to make a Full Bid ie Takeover? I think he could also just say "I like it so I bought it but don't want the flaming lot." I bought a few more and really I should wade thru the ASX site researching but I just thought you or someone may already know these technicalities of TakeOvers and have such info at ya finger tips. cheers.

I don't know much about takeovers. I have only studied a course in company accounting. His aggressive tactics though doesn't seem like its merely for a share of profits. Consider this - he has been buying shares for the past consecutive days irrespective of what the share price is at; why would he want to do this? What's the hurry?

Belinda, IRM-Does some story go with this? See it's still well within year since float.I like that. That big volume awhile back distorts six months volume and even though it's done a 30%+ jump today,it's not very strongly supported but then again no news cause of "leap".MDX switchers, maybe?
Hibi-Mr Trang can't go over 20%[he's at 19.9 now]unless he makes some takeover offer? His Average price is 25cents.Without his Buying this could Fold/Retrace. I sold today.Break Even + a few days wages.Hoped it would crack 40 before Trang got filled. It is not at all unusual for a pull back below 25cents[his av BP].Next time if I buy it'll possible be the Options. These have more Grunt both up or down, for smaller outlay 2/3 grand. IRM's momentum from a base/kinda dbl bot is an attraction. cheers.
