Hi folks, Welcome to our 2008 Challenge - Series 7 Week 13. Place your entries in here, Please check the continuation rule. New tipster's always welcome. ENTRY CONDITIONS Please ensure that all entries are made in the following format and on one line. poster (lower case) ASX CODE (UPPER CASE) L - S - LC - SC (UPPER CASE) with shorts S in RED e.g.: poster XYZ L Please post details on the same line as per the above example. (for faster cut & paste to spreadsheet) Leave one line space before greetings, salutations and 'stock ramping'. 10:00 Deadline for all new entries. LC entries must be made before the close of the market on the preceding week. And here's the rules. 1) The competition is for thirteen weeks. Starting on Monday 31 December 2007 and finishing on 28 March 2008. That is, all contestants start with an accumulated total of Zero and build it up weekly from a starting stake of $5000. Only one stock (per week) may be nominated by a competitor. 2)You must post a chart. No chart - no entry ... and briefly explain your reasons for making your choice. Captions within charts are acceptable. The purpose of the chart is to clearly illustrate the reasons for your choice. Note: For reasons of clarity Colin has requested that there should be no more than two indicators per chart. If you wish to show more indicators then please post two or more charts. 3)You must obey the Forum rules. I.e. no disrespect to other members. 4) Shorts are allowed - subject to the following guidelines:- Anyone can enter a short - but it will be the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that it's on the official ASX list. I'm not going to check it myself. If any other competitors lodge a protest that the stock is not on the list - and that proves to be the case - then instant disqualification. Follow this link for available shorts http://www.asx.com.au/data/shortsell.txt 5) The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 6) (a) Continuation: Contestants may nominate that the stock they picked for the current week will also be their pick for the following week. However, this decision must be announced and posted in the new week’s thread BEFORE 4.00PM on the Friday of the current week. So you can post on Thursday night if you wish after the new thread has been posted. (b) You may also have a fresh selection that can be posted from the Thursday night which will receive Fridays close price if posted before the close on Friday. What this means is that if you either forget or purposefully refrain to nominate that particular stock as a continuation before Friday’s close but still choose to run with it in the following week then the starting price for your entry will be the new week’s Monday’s open rather than the previous week's (Friday) close. If you wish to choose to pick one stock to last for the whole (or remainder) of the competition you may do so but you must clearly specify this before the appropriate close-off time. If you do this then you WILL need to make weekly “reminder” posts that you are continuing. Happy Easter and Happy New Year Gannsters !~! have a great weekend paul

Coyotte RMD L not in the worst of sectors and IF the $au is dropping against the $us , then may be prudent to play along. The Bar Chart is showing a Higher Low and the TMF 18d is up turning and positive. . The P&F .05 box size x 3r. is showing a potential Catapult Trade , ie: The initial break-out (green), followed by a pull back (red ) and now Triple Top break-out , note ideally the pull-back should not have have gone down enough to triggered the Red "O".
.a SAFE Easter to all , cheers

Hershy GWT Short Time to try a shorty. Based on my achievements of late, that should be enough to turn the whole market into bullish mode. Double tops seem to work best in down trending charts and this chart certainly does have that, and more ! GWT has been in a downtrend since May last year when it reached an all time high at $4.79. Since then it has been all downhill. On three previous occasions the price action moved above the 15 day EMA only to correct bellow this and continue the downhill slalom. This occurred again last week and Thursday's candle produced a lovely top shadow predicting a resumption of the previous southerly direction. I am looking at $2.70 but don't expect this to be reached in one week.

bluedog AQP L Time for a bounce perhaps and none better than this nice looking chart of AQP 3 swing correction bouncing at the previous range breakout which also broke on a 3swc and finding support above the Point of control or 50% fib also the platinum chart displaying the same corrective structure but down to the .618. First week in ages had more bullish than bearish charts coming up on scans, time will tell how that plays out. Thanks for the hard work Yogi. Cheers Bluedog.

I would just like to correct my earlier post IC hadn't and still hasn't updated for some reason, can't complain its free!!, AQP has actually corrected to the .618 on the last price bar that isn't shown and makes it a 5 swing correction, bit sloppy of me not cross checking however looking for the same result.Platinum chart remains the same. Cheers Bluedog

jimmyswell OMH L
OM Holdings mines manganese in NT and operates ferro alloy smelters in China. Manganese was up 23% in the past week. Despite the recent ructions of the market, OMH has been ranging into a pennant. There is no Guppy "piledriver" candle, which is a feature of most other charts I've examined. So I'm hoping for an upwards breakout from the pennant.

easymoney TSO S The selection system has struggled in the last two weeks, but the market is still heading down until proven otherwise, REIT is still the weakest sector until proven otherwise. Slim pickings this week but TSO has the smoothest descent over the last several months and gets this week's kiss of death. It's not required here but I'd put a stop loss at about $1.44.
