Hi Tipster's, Welcome to our 2008 Challenge - Series 9 Week 9. Place your entries in here, Please check the continuation rule. New tipster's always welcome. ENTRY CONDITIONS Please ensure that all entries are made in the following format and on one line. poster (lower case) ASX CODE (UPPER CASE) L - S - LC - SC (UPPER CASE) with shorts S in RED e.g.: poster XYZ L Please post details on the same line as per the above example. (for faster cut & paste to spreadsheet) Leave one line space before greetings, salutations and 'stock ramping'. 10:00 Deadline for all new entries. LC entries must be made before the close of the market on the preceding week. And here's the rules. 1) The competition is for thirteen weeks, starting on Monday 30 June 2008 and finishing on 27 September 2008. Only one stock per week, may be nominated by a competitor. 2)You must post a chart. No chart - no entry ... and briefly explain your reasons for making your choice. Captions within charts are acceptable. The purpose of the chart is to clearly illustrate the reasons for your choice. Note: For reasons of clarity Colin has requested that there should be no more than two indicators per chart. If you wish to show more indicators then please post two or more charts. 3)You must obey the Forum rules. I.e. no disrespect to other members. 4) Shorts are allowed - subject to the following guidelines:- Anyone can enter a short - but it will be the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that it's on the official ASX list. I'm not going to check it myself. If any other competitors lodge a protest that the stock is not on the list - and that proves to be the case - then instant disqualification. Follow this link for available shorts http://www.asx.com.au/data/shortsell.txt 5) The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 6) (a) Continuation: Contestants may nominate that the stock they picked for the current week will also be their pick for the following week. However, this decision must be announced and posted in the new week’s thread BEFORE 4.00PM on the Friday of the current week. So you can post on Thursday night if you wish after the new thread has been posted. (b) You may also have a fresh selection that can be posted from the Thursday night which will receive Fridays close price if posted before the close on Friday. What this means is that if you either forget or purposefully refrain to nominate that particular stock as a continuation before Friday’s close but still choose to run with it in the following week then the starting price for your entry will be the new week’s Monday’s open rather than the previous week's (Friday) close. If you wish to choose to pick one stock to last for the whole (or remainder) of the competition you may do so but you must clearly specify this before the appropriate close-off time. If you do this then you WILL need to make weekly “reminder” posts that you are continuing. Good Luck Tipster's :-) =====

dug,ZYL,L
ZYL has relatively few Shares Issued [~200mil] and subsequently a very low/dodgy Market Cap [~$8mil]. However it does seem to be gaining significant contracts in the Surveillance Tech Game eg with CSR/National Gallery etc etc look it up ya self ya lazy coots!!] Market Problem lies in whether ZYL is making anything from these Contracts ie In Positive Cash Flow. One can see from the Illustrated Captioned Candle Tails/Wicks how ZYL is in the grip of Day Jobbies.News comes out and the "boys" reap the suckers. ZYL contributed in the Past to this activity by Over Blowing some of their Announcements BUT you can see how even Valid Ones like the CSR job[Aug 08] has now started to temper the enthusiasm of the Day/T3 clubbers. Anyway,ZYL is for investigating when it's Accrual Annual Results are released. Those Qtrly Cash in Bank Statements aren't much chop because they make no account of Debtors or more importantly Creditors. ZYL needs the "Wind" of Positive Cash Flow from already gained contracts to Take it AWAY. In the meantime? One never knows when some more Good News may pop up so at these price levels? Ya can give it a Go!! cheers.
Even 'til Jaded. Dig for the sake of it.

WSA has moved above its 150DMA. Volume picking up. My new, improved selection technique has fis=zzed lately so I'm going back to my old method as soon as I find that blindfold! Well done last weeks winners, thanks rags for your effort and good luck to all for the coming week. Phil

Bluedog CPU SC Chart as promised, this is the part of our little comp where luck plays a part, SC with the US up friday night unless something happens today to spook the market this one will probably open up with the market in general. Any way the move as stated last week butterfly terminal with overlap still in play so will stick with it. Thanks for the good Job Rags. Like your pick Lucky_phil in swing terms 5 swing correction down to .618 overlap to confirm move northwards. stop around 6.90. Good luck. Cheers Bluedog

Hershy KCN Short Falling with the POG; has fallen through and is retesting a previous support level. A pretty sad looking chart.
