Are these stocks the canary in the coalmine In my opinion CEY and MCC had already broken down Today EXL joined the party CEY down to 4.36 today with the long term MAs rolling over
MCC MAs rolling over and vol increasing
EXL the last to go dropping over 4% today to 7.09

What a good offer Archer, Have just been looking at histrionix's "MCC - Opportunity for Short Traders" and the discussion about on the apparent bend at the end of the MCC chart. How contrary is share trading: A broker house in its "Upgrade to Base and Precious Metal price forecasts" today recommends MCC as its only "Buy 2" in coal stocks - so there must be 'other than technical issues' reolating to this share. In the current climate it is too risky for me - tempted to hold ones breath now :-)

CEY continues to fall
MCC made it back to the breakdown line and resumed its fall
EXL decline continues with TMF in all 3 cases looking sad indeed

Hello Archer & wanabe1, What a sad bunch of stocks in this thread. I notice that FLX is also missing - so I have posted the daily chart below. I am in for the long haul, but the picture doesnt much support that view. I was attracted to the spread of mines and the coal burning technology (not to mention the chart some time ago). I believe that coal's day has not yet past so am expecting an improvement in price to at least $3.40 and perhaps further:-)

Hello Archer & wanabe1, I notice it is one month since Archer drew our attention to these coal stocks. A think a review is warranted because they are getting close to significant support levels. Some are even showing signs of possible improvement. I do not recommend a buy but they are sure worth watching. I gues the pictures tell their own story
