Interesting situation with both RGLD & LIHRY UP 4% & 3% followed by NEM (US)UP, whilst both the HUI & XAU barly moved
Spot Gold was travelling o/k in NY untill the final 20 min.
Looking at LHG as a SHORT TERM play, expessially if its breaks its lower DN tread line .
Seems a low risk trade , with support at the June Low.
"Bit of fruit for the sideboard "

LHG saw a pitchfork re-test "buy" signal yesterday Coyotte. We should see some upside in the next few days.

Seems to early in the season for Goldies to testing their Lows
With a May turning point , we normally see the Low in Oct/Nov if this follows it's usual pattern we should see a bounce/ decline to test the June Lows (hui around 280 ) then a rebound to new highs

Was going to post a chart yesterday but was still in recovery mode from Sunday's huge pissup celebrating our Broncos winning the premiership.
LHG saw a pitchfork re-test short signal the other day (orange pitchfork). This one could tank soon.
Am watching Hui and Xau closely.

The BRONCOS deserved to win,a few questionable decisions by the man in the middle cost the STORMS the game.I felt sorry for the Minor Premiers.

Hit my current 2.75 STOP but rebound slightly at end of trade.
Find out tomorrow wether I was conned

I was actually close to buying LHG but then had to go on vacation in November and never got the chance. The chart looked good for a while when it bounced off the lower trendline but suddenly I am negative on it again since it fell through today.

Some +ve news for LHG thismorning in the SMH finance section:
Australian-listed miner, Lihir Gold, says it has enough proven reserves on Papua New Guinea's Lihir Island to produce 3.8 million ounces of gold. "We can mine higher grade [ore] and stockpile the lower grade," said Lihir's investor relations manager, Joe Dowling. In its first review in two years, Lihir added 4.4 million ounces to its reserve base, primarily by raising its long-term gold price assumption to US$475 (A$602) an ounce from US$380 an ounce. The company plans to lift production to 800,000 ounces this year.
The Daily chart looks +ve as well - perhaps just for a short term trade:
