I have just downloaded a 14 day trial version of Bullcharts and am sifting through the multiple indicators within the program along with the same ones associated with IC. In order to gain a better insight to main indicators, I am interested what are the favourite indicators that fellow traders cant live without. At present Im still working on MACD, long and short MA.
Hope this thread will be of help to all.
Thanking you

Cowboy
How about price and volume? (sorry about that)

I mainly use the above plus TMF, Rate of Change, and P&F charts. I find if I can't make up my mind with these tools, a dozen more won't help. More likely I will find one that agrees with my gut feel and reject those that don't.

Just my 2c worth. Good luck

Sway

As a trend indicator, I like a 10 period RSI, smoothed with 8 period wilders (in red) and a 4 period SMA of the red (in green). When the red crosses above the green, go long :-)

DMI, arguably the best indicator available!

And Parabolic SAR too.

I'm using Bollinger Bands and candlesticks. I overlay a 90 day simple moving average on this chart.

I also use an Equivolume chart. I use Ease of Movement but wish I could plot this on the same chart as the Equivolume bars as an indicator.

I use stochastics as my main confirmation indicator.

Missing indicators are Bollinger's %b and band width.
