Hi all, Ive been reading "The 36 Strategies of the Chinese for Financial Traders" by Daryl Guppy and in it he talks a fair bit about Price Leverage. This got me thinking a lot about it and wondering whether there is a method or "indicator" to compare price price between stocks. The idea is that it is easier for $1.00 to move to $1.10 (10%) than $10.00 to move to $11.00(10%). So I guess what is needed is something to measure the average length of a trend in percentage terms to compare against one another. Is there something like this already available?. Does anyone have anything to add/talk about on this subject? I am very interested in how trading styles are designed around this concept. Thanks, From Kruupy. Con-stuctive? yeah Kruupy got lots to say. The question is -Are ya Up to listening? I'll assume so,hey? Firstly, there's Logic. Punters/Pilgrims are always fooled by $1.99.Know what I'm sayin'> Second, when it's $1.80 "They" get real, like REAL,confused. mate, like chum, convince me yer up for d'Thirdly, like when I was 18,I knew it ALL!! by 28 a bloke called Hector had me head kicked in!! I should add that I was in High School with Darryl,d'Guppy. He came 5th in Accountancy when I topped d'year AND dat Hector?he's dead and buried down Deception Bay. Kruupy,ya'll find Life, like d'REAL World runs that way. In my times it was called the Dialectic, like eclectic. Anyway,so D Guppy is going Chinese Philosophy now, hey? Tellus, what do you make of it? Trust me I'll hang on EVERY word of what YOU make of it.

Dug, I suggest that you stay on the topic here ... and quit patronizing Kruupy. He was merely asking for information. Regards, Colin

Sorry kruupy,I get agitation from simple mathamatical errors[more than spelling ones!!] Anyhow, there is something in how the punters head accepts a 3 cent share going up a cent more than they accept a $3 rise on a $30 one.The former is still perceived as a "Bargain" while the latter[$30/2/33] May be seen as "run away". I've read here somewhere that some study or other also identified various other prices like $2.50 as also having some psych effect. Personally I try to buy parcels of shares in a Number that allows a single tick,.5/.01 cents,to break even.I try to at least buy enough for 1 cent to Break Even. With a Max Position for a single stock of $7000,and a min of $2500[usually] well if you do the maths?you'll find the Price Ranges. Anyhow, that's all I got for now.Bought anything yet, kruupy? Happy Trading, jr
