Hello all! I am trying to fine tune my Weinstein indicators according to his words about the 150-day price EMA. Weinstein talks about relative strength... wrt the IC software what should the time period be? Should it be exponential/simple/weighted/wilder? How many time periods should be included in the calculation? Weinstein talks about volume on the breakout... wrt the IC software should I set the volume EMA to 60 periods (approx the average of 3 months back, the time at which Weinstein believes is fair to judge whether the breakout has been on 1.5x-2x volume)? Basically I want everything to be consistent with his 150day EMA price per share discussion, and do not want to be using IC with the indicators not set correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Do a search for Weinstein in this forum, you'll get a lot of material. All your questions have been previously answered. Best approach though, is to replicate the Weinstein philosophy as much as possible, and study it. You will definitely make changes to it anyway, to suit your own trading style and personality. Cheers.
