Hi All,

Great to catch up at Tamani last night and also to meet some new faces.

Thanks for the feedback on my DFF trading plan.
It seems to have passed the intense scrutiny I was looking for.

For another example, you can refer to the Daily Diary 19 May '03 for the setup TA on 'SYM' (nice work Colin!)

This trade realised 15 to 20%+ (depending on entry point) to yesterdays high which equates to 300 to 400% of invested capital using the leveraging of DFF CFDs.
[Important to re-iterate, that in my opinion, Guaranteed Stop Loss orders (by phone) are imperative and not negotiable.]

Interesting to note that SYM had gone into 'Blow Off' mode (almost vertical) with todays pullback expected and forwarned by yesterdays very Bearish candlestick (signaling exhaustion?).

I will post an example trade detailing the DFF strategy in the next few days under 'Options and Derivatives'.

Cheers,
uturn

Lafee, last night was great although it went off the normal rails somewhat due to most pther tables being occupied. I am sure all enjoyed the change to many few on few groups because of the volume competition. }noted 2 posts of intention.
Hope your day went better than expected. Cheers Bill.

CATERING FOR RMIT MEET.

It seems I need to learn how to make colors work in these posts.
What was supposed to be in RED follows: IT would be wise and easier for us to all adfvise Lafee of our intention to attend. thanks, Bill.

Hi Bill,

Just had a thought. Perhaps it might be good if we could meet up sometime before the 10th June at RMIT so I could show you the facilities and discuss the best way to structure the meeting and set up the room. I think an agenda is essential (sorry spider)as it will allow us to get the most out of the facilities. Let me know if your available.
Cheers

Last Wednesday was our most recent traders get together.
It is also the first time that we have met at the same place twice!
Good numbers attended, with a couple of apologies, notably mrs spider (assignment due), lafee (exams) uey (crook as a dog). All were missed.

spider had been crook for a couple of days, so the priority was to survive!
Isn't it amazing how your spirits rise when you get to be around interesting people!

We had the room to ourselves for about an hour, during which we heard from some of the new faces that came along.

But, very soon it became clear that we would have to compete with birthday party (who has a birthday on a Wednesday?).

So we had to go to plan B. Only problem was, I did not have a plan B! Having enough strength to drive home was going to be an achievement.

It wasn't long before I realized that I had underestimated my companions. Our group is made up of an eclectic group of very motivated individuals, so after the food had been consumed and cleared away, we went into guerilla mode!

We broke naturally into three groups of about 5 or 6. This worked even better as the members of the groups moved around and joined different groups.

The conversations were lively, and the information flowed.
Topics covered were, shares we liked, books we loved (with a particularly good one on Jesse Livermore's biography, scalper feels that it would make an excellent movie, I tend to agree), RR got a few mentions, IC and Colin got a good going over, covered call writing came up again, and uturn managed to squeeze in a demo of his DFF trading plan for those that hung around until late.
The food bill even came out right at the end of the night.

The last Wednesday of the month is developing into an evening where traders can go after information that they are looking for to enhance their performance, and enjoy the company of some very exciting traders.

If circumstances again find us having to go to guerilla made again, I would encourage you to make sure that you join in the discussions surrounding 'william' aka john, uturn, scalper, raj, and susieq.(if I left someone out, please don't be offended) the conversations that surround these people are excellent, and not to be missed.
Get up and circulate. The gold sometimes has to be mined.

Well done to everyone for making it an excellent evening, I always come away with renewed enthusiasm for my chosen profession.

As a group we have come a long way in a very short space of time.

Hi Laffee / Bill / All.

Just a suggestion:
What if the meeting (10th June)started at 7pm,
and everybody arrived with a full belly?
This may make life so much easier for all concerned?

True, it is very nice to eat together, and in a restaurant setting very easy to do.
(People can turn up or not, order what they like, or not, and there's nothing to clean up.)

The benefits of the lecture room far outway any need to include a meal?
Perhaps people could still bring drinks along to make it a social occasion?

What you think?

cheers,
uturn

Yep - 7.00pm with full belly gets my vote!

Either way I'll be there, just let's know what the final agreement is.

Hi All,

I don't mind not supplying food! Certainly will make my life easier.

Unless their are any objections - no food it is and the meeting can start at 7pm.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

Bill, I will send you my phone number. Not sure what happened??

Regards

LaFeeVerte.
