Ahoy brave and loyal crew Well done yesterday is was a really good days sailing The storm still seems to be closing in All hands on deck At dawn on the open LOWER the blue BPC HOIST the blue FLT Bon voyage and hold firm This could be a good day Captain Chaza
Bring your wet weather gear up on deck today (T shirts for the sea-gals) It could get a little choppy but I think we have a good spread of storm sails up to steady the ship?

Hey Julles Well done, on ALU you came thru with flying colours. The captain was spot on with his timing. In fact I thought the move would be next Tuesday, not yesterday but the flag was firmly planted yesterday. Spider was right with his prediction that it has to be this week. My attempted analysis on SGW using candlestick was tricky and I knew a few guys were selling out and forecast it to go lower in another thread.I wish some one skilled in candlestick can comment on it warts and all.It was a bold forecast as the share was trending(short trend)downwards and I forecast a reversal using candles techniques. Justin spoke to me about CLV and I thought it is worth taking a look. It deals in mainly consumer oil and involves with putting omega 3 into food product. Forecast growth is over 400% in year 2004. ABM AMRO has it a strong buy. It has retraced and still stay above the top of the dominant white candle, therefore the trend is still considered bullish.I feel it is just about to go. A comment from the Captain or First Mate Spider is most welcome.
Cheers Peterloh

Ahoy officer Peteroh Re SGW I seldom see the other threads in those bye-gone waters What did you say? Re Your respect for those Japanese sailors ? I agree ! They are very tricky and clever little chaps I first started to compete in their elite and secretive style using Metastock #1 in 1986-or so MS #1 was brilliant as you could do a (2)-5 day chart The 3 black crows for example could take 6 days BUT they were 3 black crows (Sea-Eagles) none the less and could hit you in the face if you did a 2 day chart As MS changed/developed they went for MANY MORE INDICATORS They cut out the 2/3/4 daily combined charts and introduced 200 more indicators Maybe they on some sort of mission to turn the Mums and Dads into chartists ? Who Knows? Unfortunately my requests to Metastock were ignored as I am sure it will be ignored by Admiral Colin and his incredible crew as I know novice sea-cadets urge for and seek the thrill-seeking of intra day trips However, I have never met ONE of these great swashbuckling types who in hindsight wished they had not watched more TV, played lots of golf or even did nothing to break even In those good old days The only way I could keep the old Metastock #1 and the ability of combining 2 days as ONE candle meant you needed 2 computers and never update the latest version I usually do this with a new version as you know some maidens are always very forward in wishful thinking but could be a little backward in performance Alas, this all came to an end on 2YK and the old goodie was respectively and lovingly thrown overboard Captain Chaza
I have met with Officer Laffe and the Cafe is now in his capable hands Hopefully we should now be able to put on a lot more speed ?

Ahoy Captain Interesting to learn of your experiences with the little chaps the Japanese sailors, also your dept of experience with the charts. Remind me of the bygone days when I tediously drafted them on graphic papers. At the moment this Japanese game amuses me, more so when the whole fleet is northerly bound probably we are kidding ourselves when we sit back with comfort thinking how smart we are.Having sailed in the waves of Elliot and study the work of the great mathematician Fibonacci for many a years, this ancient art is really something different. Notice in the Sydney Morning Herald today that OCZ equities has CLV as one of their top 3 picks. Looking forward to visit your gallery under the charge of Officer Laffe. He must have been really busy making sure everything is in place.I will time my visit when you have your gallery ready. This should coincide with one of your monthly meetings so that some of the capable seamen from the port of Sydney can benefit from an information day as well. Yo peterloh, I think you might have something with CLV. I particularly like the volume pattern. It is almost textbook. Big increase on breakout, decrease on retracements. Reasonable length stage one. The usual questions re entry...... enter now or wait for retracement (that may have already begun)? My only concern is that we would be coming in late to the move (this is only a small concern). It's a nice chart though , isn't it?

Clv ... for me it would have been nice, I would have entered probably at .29 freaked out with the drop to .215 on the 10th March sold somewhere in-between! Alas then I would have had to just watch it continue on it's way up happily without Moi'! It's all about watching the sharks really, but I'm obviously doing something wrong as I would have sold in hindsight. I made good gains on my littles this past week, so when I make it into the White & Blue & Green sails I'd recommend getting a shark net out.. lol

Ahoy Captain, are you in the Wheel House? You asked me how I felt about casting purple sails $2500 .. I'm all for it, I hope the rest of the crew are. If not I will accept demotion to scully maid until I prove myself. I do tend to go for the amount of stock I can purchase this makes a better leverage momentum for me. I can sell half and keep the rest to do what they want, but I never let up my watch, this is where my candle training is taking place. On all the watches I've done at sea I will never forget that no matter how good it is something can and will go wrong if you let it. Now Where is Laffee, I hope you have'nt chained him to the Cafe' for life! Julles

HI Julles Not far away at all. Trying to develop my candlestick analysis as well. Much needed as I am just about to start trading CFD's. PeterLoh will be happy that I have just purchased Louise Bedford's book. The Captain and I have declared war on the opposition. I wonder if they will take notice? Lafee If I were young enough with anatomy landing in the right places I would be most jealous of your good fortune. I'm pleased to see our Captain is not a pirate (contrary to what some landlubbers think) and willing to share his great skill. Now treat an old cook nice and tell her what CFD's are, I have seen them mentioned somewhere in my tack but they seem to be mentioned to often with deal for free' ... I'll have another nip of the rum while your at it if you would please.

Captain Chaza We may be able to do 2-day bars on a chart. Is this the most useful of the three (2,3 and 4 days)? Colin

Yo Spider Agree with you, classic pattern. Volume build up on climb and low volume on retracement.I see opportunities to enter at 61c plus or 59c plus, waiting longer may miss opportunities.Thank you for your feedback . CLV is a great story with their OMEGA 3, as it is said to be mercury free.We need it to increase good cholestrol especially for baby boomers and pregnant women.Their operation has turned around from a loss to a profit making concerned. This product alone will propel them forward.I can see it as being in most of our food product in the very near future. cheers Peterloh PS: I know you would like this one as it fit into your well established pattern. You are so careful, anything you endorse will reduce the risk factor as I tend to pick them young.
