Trading to me seems a lot like prawning, when one thinks there onto something the damn school moves within a flash. Last week they were there, last year they were there and now their gone. The chart's and log books can and do speak volume's but heh they can also fool us sometimes. That's where trawling comes into it, sometimes you've got to just put the try net down for 15 mins to see what's there, if you get 1-6 prawns it could be worth a 3 wk - 6 wk shot and it may also be a days worth. Such is the life of a fisherman ! This ocean lover is a little down, as she's just received news that her best friend has been diagnosed with cancer of the bowel and liver. Gosh no wonder I'm a little emotional...! Julles

Ahoy Braveheart I am very sorry to hear about your friend but what can a man of the sea do?? What can anyone do? All we can do is do our best She may like to join our spectator's fleet and live-on to see our inevitable fate I know my mother is watching and giving me the support I need The Captain feels he is unbeatable with such a great support group Captain Chaza

I think you've been at sea for too long, but then would what I think really matter? Tis a hard task being a Captain and even harder still trying to keep the land legs which are required to be apart of a whole, is it not? The whole you ask? That which makes the world go round (aside commodities, futures and Fun or funds, whatever you wish) is really family, friends, compassion, equality. Ahh Captain, those T-bones are really just cows in the first place and there's not many folk who just breed them for T-bones, they get to know them the stock becomes apart of their lives. Still come market time they are always the first loaded upon the truck and a wake is held after in memory of a good soul. Raised born and breed in Qld country. Julles

Hi Captain How can a man in love with the sea not enjoy the fruits of the sea? Does this mean fish is off the menu! Cheers LaFeeVerte

Ahoy Officer Lafee For any long ocean voyage a man of the sea needs to do good preparations beforehand of fresh water, T bones, and a woman to keep him warm at night Luck seems to always run out too soon as you find yourself without fresh water, no T bones and a woman to keep you warm at night Captain Chaza
PS I suppose we should have fish for the Landlubbers PPS What do you think of Duck for our brave Seamen? (Message edited by captain_chaza on July 31, 2003)

Hi Captain, Oh yes, Duck is wonderful. However, only the French and Chinese have mastered this rather challenging provision. LaFee does like a challenge though! Cheers LaFeeVerte

Ahoy Officer Lafee Even Captains cook But not very well Sounds great to me if you want to give it a go Maybe we could check out the new equipment over a few ducks and some red or white I am sure the "duck hunter" will join us if he can and maybe the rest of the crew if you can really cook Captain Chaza
Even if you can't cook I think it will be great anyway considering all the so called ample meals I have had to live on before we were lucky enough to engage the services of Braveheart Julie
