Spider, I can't believe that I scrolled up to see if # 9 was there. Trouble is I'll do it next time as well.
Cheers,
Mosaic

For all those landlubbers who navigate by funnymentals comes this story (also thanks to mrs spider.)

A city boy, Rodney, moved to the country with his parents and bought a donkey from an old farmer for $100. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day.

The next day the farmer drove up and said, "Sorry son, but I have some bad news, the donkey died."

Rodney replied, "Well then, just give me my money back." The farmer said, "Can't do that. I went and spent it already."

Rodney said, "OK then, at least give me the donkey." The farmer asked,
"What ya gonna do with him?"

Rodney, "I'm going to raffle him off."

Farmer, "You can't raffle off a dead donkey!"
Rodney, "Sure I can. Watch me. I just won't tell anybody he is dead."

A month later the farmer met up with Rodney and asked, "What happened with that dead donkey?"

Rodney, "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars a piece and made a profit of $998."

Farmer, "Didn't anyone complain?"

Rodney, "Just the guy who won.....So I gave him his two dollars back."

Rodney grew up and eventually became a director of HIH, FAI and OneTel!

Ahoy crew

The CAT is still pushing us northbound on little to no turnover
For any of the crew that have had the pleasure of sailing under Captain Weinstein has he hoisted the sail yet or will we be tacking in different directions when turnover finally hits?

This promises to be a spectacular tacking duel

Great stuff Officer Spids and senior sea-cadet Grannie
All we need to sail the high and low seas of the ASX is
#A good set of charts
#Be well sea-trained to act instinctively
#A good sense of humour to fill in the boring hours of the day
#Learn one hard lesson a day and somehow take away a positive mental attitude

Captain Chaza
capn
Thanks for all your thumbs today
Holding onto all those ropes was very encouraging and I am sure the envy of all captains at sea
We actually gained ground again if only a small amount in hard conditions
Well done

Yo grannie,
spider woke up today feeling pretty lousy.
But ,looking at your AGX cheered me up.

I opened it up on a one year chart, and it looked pretty good. They so often do, then you go for a longer time frame and find out that they have been falling for years, so you have all this overhead resistance to fight off.

Not so with this one!

You open it right out and what do you find?

An all time high!!!!!!

One of my favourite things!

I go all gooey when I see one.

As you know, there are no guarantees in trading, but, an all time high is a very powerful 'duck'.

Volume is good.

If you are in already, I would say that you should have few problems in the short term.

If you are contemplating getting in you should be aware that a retracement is likely, and probably soon. These ones usually take a breather not long after breaking a new high (it takes a lot of energy to push it that high).

But this is not necessarily bad news. We need retracements from time to time as they are a way that we can judge the current health of our position, so welcome them, they are like doctors telling us about our financial health.

Enjoy the ride, we have not seen too many new highs over the past couple of years.

spider.

Yo captain,
that is a spectacular chart.
Makes me nervous just looking at it!
But if you are playing with their money, then sit back and enjoy, who knows where it will end.

I fear for the ancient timbers in our sturdy old ship, but if it aint broke...............

3 5 8 possibly, but who knows.

Keep a sharp watch out for ducks, they are sometimes slow to get out of the way.

The first mate is a little off colour, so I'm going below decks with a medicinal dose of rum.

Maybe julles will make me some tomato soup with bread and butter fingers, like my mum used to, when I was sick.

Cap'n Chaza,
re. CAT. I'd at least hold it until close, MACD and SS still look good as does market depth. If that's too cadetish,(sic) someone please advise. I do not hold CAT, further I promise never to try and give a cat a pill again. Cheers Bill.

Ahoy Captain,

Re. CAT. AN interesting fundamental story. But no-one is interested in that sort of rubbish here.

Unfortunately no cat's at my place, although I have had a few dogs in the past.

Only 9.2 million shares on issue to go around Oz and the USA, hence the lack of volume. Price rise hasn't loosen very many profit takers, or are they all asleep.

If you look at the long term chart you could understand why quite a few people may have decided that this cat was really a dog, and put it in the bottom draw. Out of sight out of mind.

Closed last night at around aud$3.45 in the USA. Check history and price action tonight via

Cheers,
Temporary Sea Cadet,
