Hi predator,
pretty much anything you will need to know is contained on this site.
You will need to learn how to search the archives for answers to your questions (most of the obvious questions have been asked many times),
in the mean time get hold of Stan Weinstein's book (see book section for description), read it then start asking specific questions.
Lots to learn, one step at a time.
What do you do for a crust at the moment?
Why do you want to be a trader?

Hi Predator,
Read Read Read, get a feeling for the Companies that YOU*** (I can't emphasize this enough) know & like....the precious Gems don't come until you've dug down much deeper.
Get into the Game, do not use too much Money with early Trades, work your way in slowly. If you make a killing with your first Trade...it's Luck, you are not Warren Buffet, DO NOT GET OVERCONFIDENT !!!!
Read any posting by "Spider", "U-Turn", and "Snifter" to name a few, the more time you spend on this site, the more names you'll add to this list. (Sorry Spider, if you had a Dollar for everytime I've recommended your Posts, you wouldn't have to trade !!!)
As you go along, learn from your mistakes find out what you did wrong and make it a rule not to do it again. (No Two sets of Rules are the same, Sorry)
Do not expect to find the next boom Stock, do not listen to the Guy at the Pub, workmates, or your Broker. It's best if you only have yourself to blame, no one else really cares !!!

on the forum about stop loss there was a post about a system called www.investors-coach.com As it looks like they are selecting stocks for you and give you also the proper stop loss to set so your trades are also protected.
