It's caught a lot of people out today, shorters and longers. I got the first bit right. A little trip down. It turned round though and had a big trip up. lolol. Looks good for the ASX and Asia. Might even have a dabble there myself....if I can stay awake. It's a bit too late for me really. I need my beauty sleep. And plenty of it. lol. Where is Risky anyway? Haven't heard from him for a while.

I was talking to my boss the other day about FDL. He mentioned something about FMG to begin extracting ore around March this year. Surely if they are going to dig a hole in their lease which borders another (possibly) significant deposit, if they owned both they could dig a bigger whole and mine a larger percentage of each leasehold?

Chris, just don't forget to take the market as a whole into consideration once you identify your "buys"

i can't forget the market as a whole atm ecchi, the market has made my hole a lot bigger over the last few weeks lol Will be waiting to see what the fed does before buying any, just TOL held up well during the last little crash and is up today when most of the market is down - this has a lot to do its newest aquisition attempt of BalTrans(also they will be unloading their 61% stake of VBA and using the funds to buy BXB) they were sold down badly when they first announced the takeover and should continue to bounce from here

Hello Gents. Hope you all had a nice rest over the long weekend. I’m recovering slowly from trading exhaustion last week. We should listen to Sam Kekovich and get rid of Australia Day, … bring on Australia Week. LOL, wouldn’t it be great? Chris, not an uptrend until Higher Low, Higher High forms. I’d assume the worst now and call it a normal market retracement. Watch the selling starts after it hitting the resistance channel (moving average/50% Fib etc). ----- Expect 0% rate cut to be in the card at next FED meeting as Uncle Ben stuffed up the last cut. Monday market crash was due to SOCGEN closing out Fraud trade that sent the market to rock bottom. Poor Benny had no idea. Jim Cramer was right after all ROFL. http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/content/jan2008/gb20080124_769729.htm?camp aign_id=rss_daily

cool thanks aussie. Media keep talking rate cuts(not to say you're wrong, its hard to see them dropping again after such a big cut last time), if they don't cut then it will be a nasty fall i feel. My thoughts are 0.25% priced in already as minimum, so less than 0.5% we will tumble
