Hi all, I'm very interested in attending when Bill Wormald visits.

( It's a long journey for me so his attendance would make it doubly worthwhile!)

Please do let me know when where and how?

As I've never been to Melbourne I'll be like a lost puppy in a large City, maybe someone could help me out with directions re accommodation close too the venue, even at the venue?

Great to hear from you and provided there is no problem with flights and I am sure there won't be, the September 9th sounds good to me. Thanks for your kind offer of accommodation but I think I might be staying with my wifes' family.

Ok the 9th it is I'm planning to attend if you could just confirm the date Uturn by the end of this month?

I've airfares dates and accommodation to book, SuziQ do you have the time to help me out in these areas?

Accommodation near or at the venue is what I was meaning to refer too Suzie ... I'm Sorry for the confusion.

The airfares I'm capable of organising myself... :-)

I don't know Melbourne at all and Bill visiting your territory is a perfect opportunity for me to get away for a day or so.

The meeting will be held in the city centre of Melbourne.
The address:
RMIT
VOS Studio (room 108.10.020),
Level 10, 239-251 Bourke St, City.
It will start at 6:30pm.

Lafee has an excellent knowledge of Melbourne accommodation.
There are often great deals available.
We can email you privately re some options.
You will be very welcome, and we will all do our best to ensure you have a smooth visit.
As soon as Bill Wormald confirms the date, I will post it on the forum.

I think I have Blue Chap, I would like one of the people in Melbourne to verify that I am going to be within a short distance of the RMIT Vos Studio if they would please.

It looks like the Victoria Hotel is one street back from and in the same block as the venue?

I haven't booked yet as I hope I've got the right spot.

They have single bed accommodation for $80 a night but if you prefer a double it's $94 the price includes a buffet breakfast.

It looks fairly comfortable for the night!

Right on Jules

The RMIT Business School is in Bourke St one street over, literally 100 yards away.

The map looks a bit skew whiff to me. No Swanston st which is in between Elizabeth and Russell. Just change the name of Elizabeth to Swanston St.

(Hope I havent confused you)

I think the map of Melbourne is OK. It's just that Swanston St is marked in grey, as it is not a fully trafficable street. It is shown on the map in between Elizabeth St and Russell St, though it's a little hard to see.
