btw thats the discount rate the fed has cut not interest rates in general. I read yesterday that US interest rate futures show a 54%(i think that was the number, somewhere close anyway) chance of a 1% cut, thats gotta look pretty desperate i would think

Also, ridiculously low interest rates was what got them into this mess in the first place, i think at best they are just spreading the problem over a longer period of time/delaying the problem and maybe even setting themselves up for an even bigger problem down the track

My opinion Chris - the FED are going to throw everything at it now. Huge rate cut tomorrow and pump even more money in. The amount of shorters out there is huge, there's going to be a massive amount of covering/closing of shorts, a huge rally and then a massive, massive drop within 2 weeks.

30s look definitely on the cards for MQG Jax, unless the FED pulls a rabbit out of its hat.

See they've already made a rate cut for the benefit of the banks. More money will be piled into the system and then a 1% cut. That'll all move the market massively but the drops to come after will be huge. We've all got our plans but mine's to try and buy on the low's today, so I can average down these last longs on the FTSE and to jump ship at break even on a rally! We're in a big, big downtrend and this juggernaut isn't going to stop and turn around just yet!

I need a 200 point rise from now Risk to get out of this sh*te. Transferred some money from one of my bank accounts to shore up the defences. Can ride it down to 4000 with what I've put in at the moment but hope I'm out well before then!!!! lolol. Hope you've got enough reserves Risk, just to ride it out till the cuts because you won't see the effect until after your market's closed tomorrow.

No Jax. I couldn't short now, even as a cover. It's gone too far for me. This has been drop after drop and it's just fear that's hitting now. They'll do everything that's needed to stop a complete collapse and even a little sniff of a turn and it's going to be massive it's going to be massive with the shorters closing and covering. Wish they'd hurry up! lolol
