Risk - There'll probably be a bit of a sell off on the Dow later but should finish in the green whhich will give a lift to the Asian/Aus market. It appears the sell off in miners is due to a determination to concentrate on stopping the $ from falling anymore. That'll mean no rate cuts so the money's being moved out of commodities. That just means panic selling of the miners and oilers! It's all about fear now, unfortunately. We need a steady spell to calm everything down!

There was no sell off there and I wasn't tempted either. Low volume but this could well be the little bull run we're looking for. Don't forget though, we're in a bear market and these run ups happen. The faster the run up, the bigger the next drop!! I'm out of everything now and managed to be flat for the week, which I'm happy with considering I was caught in so high up, so next weeks a new week and no losses carried over!!! Looks good for you Risk.

I'm still in Jax. I need to get out Tuesday though. If preopen looks good I might up my sells to 53 and 55. No matter what I get I will most likely be rolling it into FDLOA if their price stays around 3c.

I am considering having a play on CNP next week. PPI wants to step in which I think will give some much needed light at the end of the tunnel. Failing this, I still think that it's non-US assets alone would make it worth more than 30cents.

I said the same thing to Chris about 2 weeks ago. lol I am only looking to hold the options until about June at latest. If the options don't hit 5 cents by then I will be getting worried about the company in general.

Remember....12700 for the Dow. Started shorting early....12600. Will add every 50 points until the turn all the way down to 11200. It's going to be a short bull run. lol

He, he. Good luck to you Jax but this is building to the mother of all drops. Everything's in position now. Even the Chinese market's dropped 40% from it's high! The economic world is in a bad, bad state and Americe, the daddy of them all, is going over the edge, big time. There's even chatter in the press that the central banks aren't only going to lend against the toxic stuff, but they're actually thinking of buying it off the banks. How desperate is that. Can you imagine, the taxpayers funding the bailout of the banks/investment houses so that they can get back to even more lending to get the world into even more trouble. lolol. Madness. This is just the beginning, not the end. Some economists are predicting that this recession is going to be worse than 1990 and 2001 put together. Bad, bad, bad. Don't get caught on the wrong side because when it goes, it's going to go. This is the 2nd day running for big rises on the Dow with low volume. The big players are staying well clear because they know what's coming!

He, he. I did say at the end of last week that we'll see a little bull run to 12700, with everyone following, but it's going to resume the down trend very soon. We're going to head for new lows, once the next round of banks in trouble/credit crunch/bad housing figures/cpi etc,etc come out. It's all going to get much, much worse because there's too much happening all at once. When you think about it, how many times have the markets been on the verge of collapse, only for the FED to spring into action with either a rate cut or an injection of liquidity. We're no further forward because there just isn't the confidence there. Most of the big money is on the sidelines, just waiting for things to improve. Trouble is, there's no improvement in sight as yet. This isn't just a temporary drop or pullback, it's a very damaging recession with a liquidity crisis and a housing bubble burst thrown in. Trouble is, when it's happening, it's hard to see the wood for the trees. People think it'll just blow over in a month or two and there may be some temporary rises but keep an eye on those lower highs and lower lows. That's what gets people. Down and down and down until a mass exodus where everyone gives up. Keep your eye on the ball. And not those dodgy eyes either. lolol

WOW!!! I am certainly happy with today's open. My MQG parcel at 52 ended up getting 54. Hopefully I can get north of 54.5 on the remainder.
