Ahoy brave and loyal crew Here comes the Southerly Buster for the third time this week so it may be best to take the precautionary tack and slow down this time Please don't forget your wet weather gear All hands on deck At dawn on the open Batten down the hatches LOWER the blue IHG LOWER the green GAP LOWER the green SLA LOWER the red EBR LOWER the red INL LOWER the red MDM LOWER the red DFT LOWER the red VRE LOWER the red SKG LOWER the red AEX LOWER the red AVN LOWER the red GVM LOWER the red GTM LOWER the red MAQ Bon Voyage and God's speed Captain Chaza
Ahoy sea-cadet Nicola Stop looking to the rear You may get frightened, suffer sailor's shock, freeze up then do nothing and claim a LONG TERM Cruise Strategy as some excuse to fool this Captain It won't work on this skipper In my experience I have found it only works on mothers

Heavy seas today so, I thought this might cheer yous up..... Save the whales. Collect the whole set. A day without sunshine is like, night. On the other hand, you have different fingers. I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory. 42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot. 99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name. I feel like I'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe. Honk if you love peace and quiet. Remember, half the people you know are below average. He who laughs last thinks slowest. Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. I drive way too fast to worry about cholesterol. Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have. Monday is an awful way to spend 1/7 of your life. A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory. Change is inevitable, except from vending machines. Get a new car for your spouse. It'll be a great trade! Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow. Always try to be modest, and be proud of it! If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments. How many of you believe in telekinesis? Raise my hand... OK, so what's the speed of dark? How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink? If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something. When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane. Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now. Everyone has a photographic memory; Some just don't have film. If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends? Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. What happens if you get scared half to death twice? I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out. I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder. Why do psychics have to ask you for your name? AND THE ONE I RELATE TO THE MOST THESE DAYS-- Inside every older person is a younger person, wondering what the hell happened.

Capitanio, Capitanio How can I look back if I have a stiff neck watching the market on a screen? Shame on you Capitanio. I sold most of my holdings (not including MOS) Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

Nicola, well picked on the 23 with the news of the squall, I got caught at the latrine with my pants down, I think the Catptain got caught likeways as he threw much ballast overboard to save the ship floundering (or is it foundering, I'm a stowaway and I'm not familiar with seaman's jargon). Jetmar

Ahoy Jetmar the Stowaway We all get caught out at sea at sometime Some more than others Sea-cadet Nicola assumes that "the market" acts in the harmony of a well tuned orchestra Which it dosn't! It acts in complete chaos more like a debating society with everyone trying to get their pennies worth Fortunately you have stowed away on a ship heading N-E at quite a nice speed ~5% NE so far this week as against the All Ords -1% S-E this week With a little luck today we may even break our personal best week Here's hoping for a good close at dusk Ahoy sea-cadet Nicloa Sorry to hear you paniced AGAIN ANP? Also sorry to hear you still cannot part with your security blanket MOS which you call a sail Bon Voyage Captain Chaza

Capitanio, Capitanio why all this vitriol, why all this scorn? Have the high seas buffeted a few too many times? I simply furled a few sails. PS, I take it that ATX is a company code. Capitanio, Capitanio....settle down.

julles, still holding a good thought for Bonnie. The fact that they are going to have another go is A VERY GOOD SIGN. a message to all my salty shipmates................ As I've Matured... I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in. I've learned that one good turn gets most of the blankets. I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just jack asses. I've learned that whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed. I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others - they are more screwed up than you think. I've learned that it is not what you wear, it is how you take it off. I've learned that you can keep vomiting long after you think you're finished. I've learned to not sweat the petty things, and not pet the sweaty things. I've learned age is a very high price to pay for maturity. I've learned that I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it. I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities. I've learned that artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity. I've learned that 99% of the time when something isn't working in your house, one of your kids did it. I've learned that there is a fine line between genius and insanity. I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon. All the less important ones just never go away. And the real pains in the arse are permanent. As Always ... Keep grinning ... it makes people wonder what you are up to...............
Never give in - never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwelming might of the enemy. - Winston Churchill: speech made October 1941 to the boys at Churchill's old public school, Harrow

Ahoy brave and loyal crew I have updated the Logs as at Dusk Friday 26th Sept 2003 (0ur WEEK 20) on our Long Term Voyage Sailing the ASX One week at a time
What a week! That is what you call "HARD" sailing! The DOW down 3% SE The Nasdaq down 6% SE The All Ords down >1.5% The Great Ship "Incredulous" up >6.5% NE Well done great crew as we reached a new PB Average Speed of $8000/week on heavy seas with lots of work on deck and lots of brokerage It is difficult to remember, as is the case in the courts of law on land only the loser pays the costs The frustration, the anticipation and the anxiety about selecting the most satisfying sail to hoist which to lower, the thrill of fast sailing through her waves produced more adrenalins than can be formulated in any drug. The anticipation and apprehensions of the seas, the winds' force and direction; the perplexing evolution of a calm; the intense concentration of steering the craft and the hectic midnight battles plotting and surveying the many charts; The impetuous wave riding as she foams ahead scarcely under control and the heavy thud as she falls off a wave top to lie shaken in the trough. This week certainly had it all again but unfortunately with the all too common mistakes (turnovers) by this skipper's obsession with Safety at sea Even the Captain was tired by the week's end and after all the celebrations I apologise for this Sunday's late ocean report Cheers for now and Salute Captain Chaza
PS Please check at dawn for any small adjustments to our riggings
