A review of past assessments of the CID and DID target tonnage was carried out by Dr Richard Russell results of which are expected soon. Dr Russell’s preliminary findings are as follows: • New air photo mapping has resulted in more detail on the CID and DID systems • DID systems are generally smaller and thinner than previously thought • CID systems are slightly larger, thicker and more complex than previously thought ********************************* and if i read further i would have answered my question. and when you read further, it says that the major part of the inferred deposit is held within the CID component, so that would suggest to me that their inferred resource is actually bigger than previously thought, do you agree?

I am a newbie at interpreting explorers' results. I assume CID = channel iron deposits and DID = detrital iron deposits. I am guessing detrital means one off deposits where as channel deposits run in bands so it sounds like good news to me. If I had cash today I would be buying FDL at 11.5 as it seems like a nice entry price with some green around of late.

Anyone been following BOL? I have had it on my watchlist for a while now but have not researched it much. It has gone from around 80 to 1.32 just since I have been watching it!!!!

I guess its stocks like BOL that are way oversold will be the ones to make the biggest gains on the way back up, but still risky ir the market turns nasty all of a sudden. ALmost feel like putting a little bet on BOL actually

Consultant Dr Richard Russell has updated his earlier work and confirmed an iron ore exploration target of between 333 and 380 million tonnes at 56% iron on the Hamersley tenement E47/882.

Nice pick up ecchi, just watching atm but will try and grab some more today if it starts to move, not much of an announcement bu[t this bit interests me : "The work has resulted in an updated target estimate which is not significantly different to the original estimate, but is based on a better geological understanding. The location of channels “A” to “E” and a summary of the target size of channel iron deposits" sounds like its gonna do well i reckon

"Flinders Iron will embark upon a sixmonth drilling campaign comprising 250 Reverse Circulation holes for a total of 20,000 metres, to assess the Hamersley iron ore target." This bit worries me a little for the options, although i imagine they would ensure some drilling results are relesased prior to options expiry, the 6 months will take it beyond the expiry date. Tempted to play them short term anyways

Yeah I saw the 6 month thing and thought the same. I am trying to get off the options and convert it to well priced FDL equities. I think the most interesting part of the announcement is the 56% IO part. I can't recall them mentioning the grade previously, and some people were claiming it would be a crappy yield once announced.

FDL copping an butt whipping today, alot of the buyer depth has dropped out too, maybe back under 10c we go. Its a strange, strange world, 2.30am and the dow was up alot(100+points, can't really remember exactly) and then wake up to find the fed has done what the market wanted but because they say they've finished cutting for the time being the market tanks ... I mean come on people, interest rates at 2%, if they go any lower they'll be paying you to borrow money!!!

Well Chris, considering the rate cut was pretty minimal and the technical resistance level above. Most sensible thing to do was to sell off, and so they did. Hurray.. more quick money$$$ to be made.
