Ahoy Braveheart They scared the Captain out on Wed But they forgot he is not too proud to come back from adversity with a vengeance not matched by anyone else at sea on the ASX
The Captain is very proud of you

Ahoy Captain, I do hope you plan to set sail again after the 26 weeks is up. I would not no what to do without your barometers! If you plan to not sail for a few months, I hope you leave the crew a map.

Ahoy Crew What a week? I'm well and truly Stuff*d as you all must be Thank Christ for the sailor's week's-end My ankles are killing me! My thumbs are aching and to make life worse I hear the Emperor is on his way home The Captain certainly does not need the stress of positioning his decimal points again There is a lot of dreaded paperwork to be done over the week's end but i think it will look good Forgive the Captain tonight as he must also check out his other investments on his time at the DPL
Fear not Braveheart I think We will always sail together I just simply love sailing with you

Ahoy brave and loyal crew I have updated the Logs as at Dusk Friday 17th October 2003 (0ur WEEK 23) on our Long Term Voyage sailing NE "Safely" and as fast as we can Well done great crew as we bettered our Personal Best Average Speed
It won't be easy to reach our destination but we still have time We certainly don't need the howling noise of the Southerly Buster in our ears to add to our very sore ankles and aching thumbs Salute and Bon Appetit my great crew You are truly the envy of all the Captains that sail the high and low seas on the ASX We must try to go even faster and break through the pain barrier all great sportsmen overcome Anybody got any good ideas?
Ahoy sea-cadet Mosaic What does the math look like this week? It would be nice to cruise to our destination without taking any un-necessary risks Do you give us any Mathematical chance in or out of Hell?

Ahoy Captain Chaza A new sea cadet-in-training here (one level lower than Mosaic obviously!) Perhaps for those new to the ship you could explain your semaphore signals! Hoist red, lower green, hoist blue etc???????. (Your explanation might enlighten this land-lubber) Thanks in anticipation!

Hi Cap, It is a bit hard typing this as I am standing in the corner hanging my head in shame. In spite of the oily old rags that have been acting like a bloody big bucket throw over the side, this great sailing vessel has been sailing for the past 2 weeks at a rate of knots that will see us over the line with minutes if not hours to spare. The BAR (booty accumulation rate) for Week 22 was 5.44% which reduced the required BAR for the remaining journey to around 4%/week. The BAR for Week 23 was a little less at 4.17% which reduced the required BAR for the reaming 3 weeks to 3.95%/week. So if the Master and experience crew of this marvelous ship stay at the BAR, we should all be very euphoric, albeit a little worse for wear, in 3 weeks times. Suffering badly from the fear of 'de motion' sickness, PCSC Mosaic

Ahoy brave and loyal crew As sure as old ropes the Southerly Buster might hit within 24 hours so we'd better play it safe All hands on deck in wet weather gear At dawn on the open LOWER the blue NRT HOIST the blue ENE LOWER the red ZYL HOIST the red RED Bon Voyage and God's speed Captain Chaza
Welcome aboard Sea-gal cadet Kathy I hope you look good in a wet T shirt This could get a bit choppy A red Spinnaker costs $5000 A green Jib sail costs $10000 A blue main sail costs $15000 A white headsail costs $20000 Some sails are so large clumsy and awkward they could cost you $50000 to move you $5000 NE in a year and are not carried on the great ship "Incredulous" All types of sail are designed and are supposed to take us NE at the same speed Some are just a lot harder / slower to handle and need more mast to catch the wind All off-shore sailing is an extreme sport and you must be warned we all get caught out dragging a few sails from time to time If you planned a trip say $5000 NE in any given amount of time The choices of the sail/sails is endless Always use the term "Long Term" as it puts you under no stress or pressure to perform and its amazing how many people you can fool Only YOU will know you made a mistake so you quietly kick your ankles Don't feel so bad Sea-cadet Mosaic Only the Captain goes down with the ship and he his ankles are sore after each and every day at sea Its certainly not like Golf where you can break a club There is just nothing you can find to break on this great ship

Ahoy Sea-gal cadet Pixie Welcome aboard You may come in very handy if we don't reach our destination on time We only have the required supplies of meat, fresh veg and rum onboard I hate fish but I am sure the crew would be very grateful for your great sportsmanship Thats another one I was watching for the last week or so and hesitated Once you hesitate at sea on the ASX all can be lost and usually is as it takes a skipper with more courage than this one to hoist such a sail even ONE day late In hindsight maybe it was best to get in early and show some patience and take a longer term cruise strategy ?

I went to the logbook to see if 'the good ship' was still carrying these two, but could not find them. Hell of a day, particularly if you were holding IMA!

It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: 'And this, too, shall pass away.' How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction! ~ Abraham Lincoln: September 1859

Ahoy Officer Spids I really feel sea-sick now not to mention my throbbing ankles It seems the Captain's obsession with safety is costing us dearly Maybe we should start taking a few risks???
