A little sunshine sneaking into your watchlist I hope Chris. FDL managed to form support during the last 2 "sell offs" so looking good to continue its uptrend albeit slower than before. Still looks to be some clear sky if it can breach 18.5

yes looking very nice again, lets hope it can keep going. MPO looking good too, haven't entered yet but its looking good, might grab some this arvo if it looks to close well, above $1.30 will put a nice tail on the candle

Be careful of buying any more FDLOA at present Chris (though I am confident you are not considering it lol) Just looking at the comparison between FDL and FDLOA and FDLOA looks a real buy but mainly because FDL is fluctuating for once and FDLOA is remaining stable. Previously it was the other way around so it is hard to get a lead as to where the price will end up at present.

FDLOA is trailing atm, but you're right, I have over 20k in FDLOA now so won't be buying anymore(yet ), its been a bit of a pattern on this latest rise, a decent gain one day followed by a few rest days before the next leg up. WOW, look at MPO, i've got an order in at $1.335 for 15000 so hoping ot get hit, might have to chase this one later if i don't get filled as I want in for sure

A lot of buyers lined up back at 18 now Chris, that pattern looks good to continue. (Message edited by ecchigaijin on May 27, 2008)

I am thinking of selling my FDL and buying FDLOA with this big a disparity between the prices.

personally I think FDLOA is still the go anyway, lots of leverage still think : 10k of FDL at 20c or 10k FDLOA at 9c if FDL hits 40c, you FDL will be worth 20k or your FDLOA will be 30k. Numbers used just for ease of calcs

Yes I agree the ROI will be much greater on the options as they "should" trade around 10c lower than the heads. I bought the FDL a while ago and was keeping them as a conservative approach as I was unsure of when this run we are getting now would hit. But now I am thinking I can sell the heads and rebuy the options using the 11.2 cent disparity as a buffer (about 1.5c on recent comparisons). The only thing I am keeping in mind at the moment is that I will probably keep the FDL shares long term and pick up a 50% exemption whereas I cannot do that with the options.

interesting point on tax, i didn't realise that you couldn't claim the 50% reduction on options. So if i end up converting the options then the 12 months will start when i convert? Had to cut INP today at $1.075, annoyed with that one. Everyone, i've just given you the tip of the month, i've sold, buy, buy, buy

I would need to sell some of my options to have enough money to exercise the remainder and I would need to clarify the tax consequences of exercising options as the reading I have done so far is EXTREMELY confusing. The are talking about the cost base and date of acquisition are when the options are exercised.

I just sold 20000 FDL @ 20 cents and bought 42957 FDLOA @ 9.2 Another green day tomorrow with the options pulling back some of this gap and I will be one happy camper.
