Our female crew members will probably enjoy this one, I'm not so sure.................... The Wisdom of a Navajo Woman A saleswoman is driving home in Northern Arizona when she sees a Navajo woman hitch-hiking. Because the trip has been long and quiet, she stops the car and the Navajo woman climbs in. During their small talk, the Navajo woman glances surreptitiously at a brown bag on the front seat between them. "If you're wondering what's in the bag," offers the saleswoman, "it's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband." The Navajo woman is silent for a while, nods several times and says, "Good Trade." .
"I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me." Oscar Wilde

Ahoy 1st officer Spids It's good to see you woke up with "some" sence of humour on a day with 1 hour less sleep You are truly a very fit man of the sea We on all deck at dawn this morning were able to drag a couple of wet sails back on deck but unfortunately a couple of others were caught up in the rudder in the process!!!! I don't mean to infer that you could have helped the situation but maybe it would not have been so bad It's good to see our sea-cadets dabbling with the exciting idea of Shorting contracts but we both know they will learn the hard way When was the last time you saw a real life bear in a full length fur coat???? 1929?? Salute and Bon Appetit my great crew There is never a dull moment at sea

Ahoy brave and loyal crew If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs , If you can trust yourself when all doubt you, If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, If you don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream--and not make dreams your master, If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim; If you can learn to act instinctively, If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster and treat those two imposters just the same; If you can make one heap of all your winnings and risk it all on one turn of speed, and lose, and start again at your beginnings and never breath a word about your loss to anyone; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew to serve your long term voyage , And hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says : "Hold on!" If you can talk with landlubbers and keep your virtue, Or walk with the Emperor and the Admiralty--and not lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much, If you can fill the unforgiving day sailing with six hours worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And--which is more--you'll be a Man of the Sea a much envied member of the crew on the Good ship "Incredulous"!
