Ahoy brave and loyal crew I have updated the Logs as at Dusk Friday 31st October 2003 (0ur WEEK 25) on our Long Term Voyage sailing NE "Safely" and as fast as we can Well done great crew but we were beaten by the All Ords for the first time in our long term voyage (25weeks) and lost $2,012.00 The All ords gained ~O.50% It just goes to show us all we cannot afford to relax for even one day The Captain knows we have not sailed to our true potential again and only has himself to blame It's a very poor Captain who blames his fittings, equipment or crew We still have ample rum, no golf balls or food but we have Sea-Brownie Pixie, a very able fisherman (as in Mankind) Your On deck Pix and show us your trix PLease Don't forget your tackle box and the tightly fitting ship's T shirt It could get very wet? You can fish next to me Ahoy Captain's Mate & 1st Officer Spids I think it's time to go a sailing I have exchanged our $Aussie Battlers for $US Big sams I have swapped our Gold for Base metals Could you please make sure the crew is on deck pre dawn and remind them to bring their wet weather gear With a little Luck It looks like we wil be coming home under a full spread of wet sails and very fast It doesn't get much better than this! As you know I don't believe in luck but I feel we have the crew necessary to get there and on time Ahoy Sometimes Wise, Sometimes Foolish Emperor but always Great "FUN" Claudius Please take my advice? "Don't take advice from anyone else but me!"

Ahoy Captain Chazza Keep a sharp lookout for the Imperial Quinquireme manned by a motley crew of rowers all with different sized oars. I am trying to give clear directions, but the odd collection of oars does tend to mean we go round in circles. I am trying to get my advisers to pull in their oars together, but in the meantime we are a real danger to the shipping lanes. We don't even know whether sail gives way to oars or vice versa. Given that we have less control over what we are doing, your seamanship may be needed to avoid a collision. Dirty Red and several other Slavemasters are doing their best to whip the galley slaves into shape. If you are becalmed watch out for a fast moving well disciplined Quinquireme speeding across your bows in the direction of the ASX100 ocean, once we get our act together. In the meantime we share the brotherhood of the sea and the sisters below decks await our return from the watch if finer weather returns. Looking forward to a fine week of predictable fair winds, but we both understand the treacherous currents and storms, not to mention hidden reefs and unlit rocks and siren songs. God Bless the Incredulous and all who sail in her, but beware the Quinquiremes of Rome! Claudius ... Emperor of all he surveys

OK, spider is taking book on how long it will take the "Imperial Treasury Report" to get moved to the Traders Group section. spider gets first dibs................ I bid "never". Get in quickly, as spider could be wrong and it could happen soon. Haven't decided on a prize as yet, but to make things easy it might be a $10 donation to your favourite charity (a real charity that is!). spider is on deck, shout so that I can hear you over the sound of the waves. spider. .

I think those people who come in and say that they want to make a million dollars, or ten million dollars, and then plan to quit are the people who never make that much money because they have the wrong focus. They have a focus on being done with it, so they'll become more aggressive than they need to be. They'll take stupid trades because they feel really rushed and don't want to be here. Whereas, my goal is that I always want to be here." - Brandon Fredrickson

Hi Spider, My quote of the day for the Emperor, the Captain, and all the crews is from K. Graham in "The Wind in the Willows": "There is nothing half so worth doing as simply messing about in boats (er Ships... or er Quinquiremes)" Goodnight Spids and watch tight. Starb'd

Hi guys I'm still trying to work out these charts so i can post some. At the moment i think i'm too busy checking all angles. Need to hone my skills in fewer areas. BCL may be one to watch and what do you think of SGW. I'm hoping for a bounce off the bottom trend line this week. Much more steam in ALL & KIM? Regards fox_terrier

It's very quiet on deck tonight captain. Sometimes first mate spids likes it that way, but tonight I'm a little blue. I said goodbye to an old comrade today, my old Volkswagen double cab ute. We started in business together in '76. Been together a long time, she's seen me through four different businesses. The boys in blue put her off the road a few years ago, I was too broke to fix her then, but I kept her with the idea of restoring her one day. But as the years have gone by I have become less and less attached to the things from my old life. It's time to move on. I hope whoever gets her has as much fun as I did. spider (with just a small tear at the parting with an old friend).

Ahoy Braveheart Trust you to spot it Ample Cook Julie! I was hoping nobody would notice the Captain's greed and bad habit of filling up the trophy cabinet Ouch!!!
It would be nice to think The RED was lowered for the GBL but that would indeed be a miracle The Captain just seems to lack courage at times It is such a fine line at sea on the ASX when a fast exciting sail can turn into sheer recklessness This is called Seamanship Ouch! Ouch!

Hi Cap, I lowered all my AWE sails today. They look like they are still catching a bit of a breeze, but I am repositioning some sail to chase what I perceive to be a stronger breeze. I believe that AWE may hit a flat spot in the near future. I anticipate that I will raise AWE again closer to christmas. I also sold CUE a while back as well. The old oily rags performed rather badly for our great ship. Hope that you leave that silly old Roman row boat in our wake. Still hanging my head in the corner, PCSC Mosaic
