Ahoy crew, Stopped swabbing the deck yesterday and now assisting in batoning down the hatches and manning the bilge pumps. Shocker of a day but these days and periods happen. Good bonding words there Spider and, as mentioned, we have had an Incredibly good run. Storm clouds will always clear and sunshine will come again - brighter and stronger. Hang in there and we'll sail out the storm. Wadda

"While trying to get my head to wake up, I was sitting looking out the window at the creek, and as I did mrs duck and five little ones sailed by!" Excuse my ignorance, but what do the ducks represent? Is this an Elliot Wave joke? If so, what date did your duck one appear?

Hi Julles, Thanks for bringing this to our attention - the password may be corrupted. I have reset the Captain's password. He should be able to login once he receives my email which contains his new password. Robin

Julles, The Captn may have to put up a signal flare to the Admiral (via e-mail) as I was swamped by this occurrence a while back. The Admiral sorted the comms problem out quick smart and I was back on board in no time...although the swell is great at the moment. Standing by the SAR chopper if required, AB wadda

Waddsie the Captain did email Admiral Colin early in the day and as I couldn't access the forum, we both thought IC was down. It was only when Starboard yelled "Starboard" that I knew the forum was ok. Gosh Telstra! It's amazing they make any money for their shareholders as their service is crap. Julles

Ahoy all, Just to lighten everyones day English Rugby The England team's training session was delayed today for nearly two hours at Telstra Stadium. One of the players, while on his way back to the dressing room happened to look down and notice a suspicious looking, unknown white powdery substance at the end of the field. Coach Clive Woodward immediately suspended practice while the Police were called in to investigate. After a complete field analysis, the Police determined that the white substance, unknown to the players, was the try line. Practice was resumed when the officials decided that it was unlikely that the team would encounter the substance again.

Yo First Mate spider, Your timely dispense of your thoughts of wisdom is important for some of our crews especially for our new or even some experienced ones. For those shares that could withstand the onslaught will recover faster when the tides turn. Self preservation is important at this hour. Nothing has changed from the past for once this period is over the race will be on again. It will first start off slowly and cautiously before it gains momentum. It is also a time for us to take stock of what we have.It is the time for us to know what we hold and what our shares do is important or we better have nothing to do with them and stand aside and wait for everything to blow over. If we are playing with their money we can afford to do things differently from when we are trying to preserve our capital. It is time to use commonsense and do some homework on the shares we have. I hope the US market will stabilise tonight or even reverse its recent downwards trend. The DOW, S&P and Nasdaq all show a lower shadow last Friday which means the buyers are coming back at this level thus rejecting the day's low. I hope this will continue for our sake. The interest rate hike has a bigger effect than the Reserve Bank thinks. It not only slows down the residential market but spooked the equity market as well besides what happened to DOW Jones. Cheers Peterloh

giggle We've probably got them licked ! xxxxx (fingers crossed) Did you see how they tried to shake the Grn today Captain? They had my goat up, silly land lubbing fools one would think there was no Map at all to guide them. Spider I love to hear you've seen a duck and her babies, let's hope your luck with this Omen remains the same for the good of us all. I don't know if the Captains received his new password yet, I suspect like the rest of us he's sick of the market for the day so hopefully all's well and he will post in the morrow. Thanks for the laugh Stampy Julles

Ahoy brave and loyal crew That was horrible! It was not the $'s we lost today that hurts so much as the thought of Braveheart and the 1st Officer Spids sailing off together! Anyway, many thanks to "The Incredible Crew" for dragging the Captain back onboard It was a great dawn to short the blacks and the small reds Which I Did!! Luckily.. Not all my links were down!! But I don't like the idea that anyone of the crew would think I would take an easy escape route We will take the -14K loss on the chin (technology expenses) Could have been only -4K but sometimes life sucks and we must sail on regardless and be brave In the end it is really only a week and we have lots of time? So what the heck? I am only 56-57 The Emperor of Japan has listened to the Captain and the $US has been saved from the doldrums EGO is everything to some people? Amazing eh?! So far so good? Captain Chaza
It's good to be back onboard such a great ship with such an incredulous crew
