Ahoy SusieQ Cheer Leader and Special Events Co-Ordinator You are now on deck and at the helm on this special event How does Friday 19 2003 sound? The Captain's Table is the same as that at the Lodge (seats 22) 7+4+7+4 Clockwise A grand table "The Sidewalk Cafe" Bar and Grill also has seating for 16 out in the smog for those addicted to petrol fumes In a perfect world? The Captain's Table is a table with the Capn in the middle and the 1st officer to the right and naturally Braveheart to the left (without her husband) I do think susieQ should sit opposite the Captain flanked by Senior Officer St Petes and on the other side by faithfull sea cadet Nicola and Cadet Officer Mossie and able sea- seaman Starbaoard Tack?? It is almost a round table in that there is no bad seat? SusieQ! This is your baby ! You are built for this Give it your best! I personally think we should give the chefs (my kid sister and my son) a little reign and say "Go for It" Maybe $30-40/head Feast for food with individual drink bills from free water on ice to whatever? SusieQ! What do you think? I do insist on individual drink cards! I know the Chefs will show off! They are like all other artists They suffer from Landlubber's Ego I have done my bit and it seems I still have a lot more to do? Captain chaza PS Do you think we should invite the (others) spouses???? I think we should start off at "The Sidewalk Cafe" Elsternwick Vic and then move to the Captain's Table which just happens to be 5 metres inside There is umbrella seating outdoors on "The Sidewalk Cafe" in the smog for those that like it that way (16) but its not for me Captain Chaza
PS Susieq Q What do you think 4.00 PM - 11.00 PM or an earlier start?

Chazza, Sounds perfect. The 19th December it is then. Happy with $40-$50 per head, and individual drink cards. Our Melbourne meetings run on similar lines. But perhaps as all good party organisers the troops can affirm if they are willing to cop that. One question, is it BYO? As to timing, suggest 7pm would be a better start. Would welcome suggestions as to the awards? Perhaps the crew can email me privately as to their nominations and award titles. All loyal crew, stowaways, dedicated spectators (and partners if they wish)are of course invited as is Admiral Colin and Robin. This is a great opportunity to celebrate? commiserate? or just party on together. For the chefs an idea of numbers would be good so get those acceptances in quickly. woohoo! party time!! Susieq (fussing over whether the table decorations are to be ultra modern orange combined with hot pink or tasteful black & white? hmmm, decisions, decisions)

New stowaway Missy here. Actually been quietly braving these waters for sometime, and recovered from my sea sickness enough to make an appearance at the last east subs Melbourne meeting! Im slowly finding my way, and it wont be long before these sea legs are steady. I would like to express interest in joining your celebrations... but only if there is enough room. Let the fun begin!

Ahoy Missy I would love it if could you sit beside Nicola I have sailed with him for over 20 years He is a great sailor (one of the best) and has been in many fist fights to prove he is a good guy and a man of substance on land Unfortunately for me, I was wrong! He is just a lovable little teddy bear

First mate spids and mrs spids will be there (would not miss it). An address would be nice, the first mate is used to navigating by the stars, so I'm not much chop on land! .

Hi Cap, Mossie would love to attend. I can also vouch for the impeccable credentials of MACCA (see post above) who is a regular at the Eastern Suburbs Trader's Group. Cheers, Mosaic (looking forward to catching up with all the crew on the 19th)

Missy Thank you for your kind offer, if I need anything I will yell. Capn, I have searched the seas high and low and have finally run to earth the elusive Captain Seahound. He has been quitely plotting and charting in a hidden latitude, he is however able to join us on the 19th. Susieq

Great Idea Sea-Cadet Officer Mossie Hi Cap, About a month ago when the 'Captain's Table' get together was discussed I recall that Julles said that due to the poor performance of the market and the impact on her finances she probably would not be able to make the trip to Melbourne. If costs are still an issue for Julles would it be practical to have a $10 or $15 surcharge per person to partially offset Julles' expenses in coming to Melbourne. I was going to make a post to this effect but thought that it would be more appropriate to go through your good self for the following reasons: a) I thought that such a proposition may embarass Julles if intiated without her knowledge and blessing b) I thought that the suggestion would have more legs if it was initiated by yourself c) and most importantlty, you may not think it is a good idea In my opinion Julles has made a very significant contribution (banter as well as stock candidate identification) in making our incredible voyage led by your good self all the more enjoyable. Cheers, Graeme (Mossie)

Thankyou Mossie and the Captain for posting Mossie's thoughts. You've touched my heart! Thankyou for seeing me as a part of the incredulous and as a friend I do try to connect. There's still time for Moi' at present still in deep deep trouble, more than the ducks could ever imagine to experience Spid's' world. Talking because you've all touched my heart... sorry about the emotion. Julles v
