BRISBANE WEST STOCK MARKET INTEREST GROUP 2004
The first 2004 meeting of the Brisbane West SMSF Interest Group will take place on Saturday 10 January at 9am.
Meeting room: Same as usual. Entry before 9am is via the car park.

Agenda:
2003 saw the formation of the Stock Market Interest Group, which we for good reasons called the SMSF Group. Since our first meeting held 12 months ago we have been on a journey of learning, exchange of ideas and viewpoints.
At our first 2004 meeting we will take stock and revisit last year – look at where we as a group have been, review our past meeting experiences and very importantly decide on the direction for the group in the future.
A number of related matters are on the agenda and open for group input and discussion. Some of these are:
• Is there a basis for the group to continue
• On what basis will the group continue
• Priority of items for discussion at future meetings
• Should the group break up into several groups
• Meeting structure and ethics
•

Please come prepared to contribute with opinions and ideas for future meetings.

Hi all,
Nice to meet everyone last Saturday.
Thought I'd post my TA perspective on some of the stocks discussed at Saturday's meeting More than happy for other's opinions.
NLX
Weekly chart showing resistance at 36.5, support at 32.5. Money flow good, volume down last week.
Equivolume chart shows a steady build up - higher highs, higher lows.

Weekly trend seems to show a continuation of a strong up trend, though it is starting to level out (?) - end of the strong trend? Nevertheless a blue sky stock.

MXI,
Strong Blind Freddy Trend. Possible entry on retracement towards 85-87 from the weekly chart. MAs respected during strong climb.
Daily shows support around 87, volume dry up the last two days as slight price decrease - bullish sign? Placed on the watchlist.

Some strong volume days last two weeks. Money flow positive.

Agenda
1. Discuss and implement a disclaimer protocol for group meetings. Marty to present draft.
2. The market and where we see the opportunities for 2004 and beyond. Review forecasts recently made by high profile guru's.
3. Flag patterns. How, when, where and why.
4. Individual presentations on stocks or any other matters relevant to the group. Please come prepared to contribute so that as a group we learn and prosper from our collective knowledge.
5. Next meeting. Set agenda, chairperson, tea and coffee etc.
