Thanks for the advice Spider.

I am actually in the process of doing just that.

The one thing that I have to keep very aware of is that, at the time I was using FA to pick stocks (Feb, Mar, Apr 03), the bull run started. I think almost any system would have worked back then! The market is very different now - loads more learning opportunities though.

Regards,
Starb'd

Maintaining navigational instruments while sailing the ASX.
Prompted by the captains current loss at sea I thought that I would post my methods of maintaining backups in case there are any ideas for others (or someone has a better idea).
I have 3 hard drives, Norton Ghost and a removable hard drive case.
Initially I formatted a hard drive and loaded it with my current programmes.
I then ghosted this onto one of the hard drives which is removed and stored. If the system is still operating OK and I have made program additions I ghost the updated version onto this hard drive.
I use the other hard drive for weekly updates of metastock files, operating files, information saved on a regular basis.
If I have a complete crash I take the ghosted drive, update it from the weekly updates and I am sailing again.

I have recently used the backup. If you have a metastock file open and the computer shuts down the metastock files are corrupted. It is quite simple to copy the backup files from the removable hard drive into the current hard drive.

All is not lost brave crew...the Captain will return more determined than ever...think Winston Churchill 'never give up' etc.

Have faith the tide is turning for the better...the salt air has that feel about it.

Bon Voyage.

Well I hope you've all been watching Sml, (I got back in at eleven .. better than nothing! )

Web , Acu , flew today and I missed both! Smo dragging me down somewhat, but you get that, well done with Hdr dollars it's to expensive for me with my time frame.

Hmmm, I'm still in Bkmo's and ndo/ndoo .. sold wtp without the first mates approval it's just to slow for me.

If I had money to invest on the other hand....

Luv to all Julles

Capitanio, il Capitanio.

Is it true?
The birds have begun to sing again.
The trees are sprouting new leaves,
branches reborn with others growing stronger.

No longer are shoulders hunched in sorrow,
eyes no look towards the unforgiving horizon.
Drenched handkerchiefs from unremitting grief are cast aside,
priests are being laid off,
virility has returned,
there is much feasting,
we have begun to dance
arm in arm along the shore
to sing your praises.

Capitanio, il Capitanio,
welcome back.

Ahoy crew

Able Waddsie is right
We are going to come back better than ever
The Captain is furious

We need to re-build our leaders watchlist ASAP as distinct from the heavy and clumsy so called leaders by the spin doctors of sweet FA

Ahoy Braveheart / others
Give me your 50 best under 10 cents
Give me your 50 best under 25 cents

Ahoy Sea-Cadet Nicola
I have already packed the MOS below deck and thanks for notifying the crew
Once the salvage co. took my computer they also took my modem and I have been unable to send or receive phone calls

Ahoy 1st Officer Spids and/or Officer Scalper or others
I have always had a Top 100 ASX list to get a feel for things but because I felt the carrots of dividends were designed for donkeys I thought it best to keep to the red green and blue sails

Now with my new powerful system I feel it may be time to look at the much requested CFD class of sail

I need to learn about this class of sail
Who are they??
What are their codes???

No point gunning for a heavyweight that doesn't have someones' balls on the line

Ahoy Sea-Cadet-Officer Mossie
I need your top 20 Oilers

Ahoy able-seaman Waddsie
I have your beloved HDR registered below deck

Ahoy Crew?
The next request is simple but we may need all do a bit
I need to reconstruct the Indices as I had it

As you are all aware i
