Why, Capitanio, Have your thought processes changed irreparably. Has sea water yet to be drained from your brain? Did you really include the MOS today? Does this mean the earth's tectonic plates will shift, creating a reverberations around the world stock markets increasing demand for the MOS? Capitanio, I am speechless, out of breath with anticipation. I truly wonder what the future holds.

Hello Captain, Welcome back on board. I can sympathise - it has happened to me in the past. It is a VERY TIRESOME process reinstalling everything. I now use a RAID system where I have 2 duplicate hard disks that are written to simultaneously. The earlier suggestion of using GHOST is better (if you remember to do it). Spider et al, I have finished analysing where my trading let me down recently. Although my overall portfolio is still over the All-Ords rate of increase since July 03, I had a run of losses in Dec and Jan (19 in a row in fact!!!). In hindsight I think that my losses came from not realising in time that the market had stopped its rise and entered a sideways move. My trading techniques were set for a rising market, not a sideways one. All of my recent losing trades were entered after 11Nov03. On looking at the all-ords I see that it fell below my bottom trend line on 11Nov03.
This has lead me to ask the following questions: Was that an indication that the market had changed? Could I have used other indicators, like TMF, to tell me to change my tactics? The market seems to be heading up again. What indication can I use to confirm that I can revert to my old system? What does everybody think? I suspect that the answers to some of these questions also relate to the southerly drift of the "Incredulous" in recent months. Lets hope we continue on our way north now. Regards, Starb'd

Yo s_t, This is going to sound a little strange, but when the market changes it's mood you can just kinda 'feel' it. Anytime one of my 'good' positions does something strange my radar comes up. If more than one of my positions starts to act strangely then I am in full defensive mode. Around the time you mentioned, all my positions were acting strangely. My trading pool peaked at the end of October, and it has taken till now to exceed that total. The first positions to tell you that things have changed are the 'pennies', because there is a lot more hope built into their price than most shares. There are also a lot of 'nervous nellies' involved in 'pennies', the hit and run at the slightest sign of danger types. So naturally, this is where the first signs that the market is slowing down, will come from. So it is not unusual that the good ship 'Incredulous' should mirror the market as that is the type of position that we major in. (P.S. go straight to your dictionary and tear out the page with the word 'hope' on it!) The first mate, being a tad on the conservative side, has a rough time on board when the market goes quite. Lots of running around administering aspirin, bandages and warm milk with a tot of rum to calm the nerves. Not to mention retrieving souls lost overboard during these storms. The good ship gets very quiet during these times, which the first mate does not mind as it means that he can get some sleep during the day, without the sound of those damn sails being hoisted and pulled down every morning! When things are quiet the first mate brings out his 'blues' music, and no one seems to mind, when things are jumping I just get yelled at for bringing everybody down! The best time to be on the good ship is at night. The market is closed for the day, the only light is coming from the moon reflected off the water (except for the faint glow of light coming from the passenger cabin, could that mysterious passenger be trading the US markets?) The captain has put away his charts for the night, the cabin boy has brought me a hot drink with a splash of something, and all is still on the great ship. All the ship's company is asleep, building their strength for another days battle. First mate spids loves to watch over this worthy crew, he has been on many vessels, but this is by far the best. .

Spider, Thanks for that. It doesn't sound strange at all. In fact you have helped me a great deal to trust my own judgement. I also "felt" it about then - but didn't trust myself properly. I felt that I was too new at this game! Your words make so much sense. Thanks Starb'd

Well, just because I need to share.. the cook hasn't been her vibrant self of late and has made many mistakes in her choice of stocks because her youngest daughter (13) has been bleeding profusely from the bowel each time she go'es. Which can most times be twice a day sometimes more. The Cook has been worried something shocking! Daughter is on the waiting list for a Colonoscopy and the Cook next week will be ringing the Doctor to see why we have to wait as the bleeding is getting worse, not less. She's been bleeding for 4 mths, at the onset Doctor thought she could be constipated (she wasn't) and after treatment she suffered diohrea yet still bleed. The house has been getting all maximum amount of repair on the incase it will be hurridly put on the market. And relationships between H and myself have been strained through lack of understanding each other and worry about our youngest. It will be alright though, won't it? Thanks for listening. Julles ... love ya's

Julles, I have in the past found much useful general medical information on the web regarding some of my own complaints. The following are links returned from a Google search on the following keywords: anal bleeding after stool http://info.chsd.org/678.cfm http://www.julies-story.org/ano/analfissures.htm Perhaps you will find some reassurance therein. Good luck Braveheart. Ice

Julles, My heart goes out to you and your family. When one of our children is not well nearly all parents will worry and think about all the possible causes. It is very hard to control this worry. The sooner you can get the problem diagnosed, the sooner you will be able to feel in control again. Have you looked into the cost of having the Colonoscopy done through the private system? You may be surprised at how little it is. One of my family members had a Colonoscopy last year, with very little waiting. I am not sure what the surgeon's costs were, but the hospital costs were less than $500, and the anaesthetist bulk-billed. Ask your doctor for some other options. Keep smiling, I am thinking of you and yours. Starb'd
