Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowances for their doubting too;

Hi All,

If you bring along your Trend Trackers tonight,
we can spend some time practicing.
WRX is bringing his laptop.

You may also be interested in some 'Fast Move' break out patterns that are proving successful?

There is a small charge to cover the cost of hiring the room
(split between the number that turn up).

Cheers ..... uturn

Hi uturn,

In trading the US market, where do you get your charts from? Is there a similar site to IC?

Thanks

All the dudes trading the US market will be waking up about now. Looked a bit rough last night.
I thought you might need cheering up so here goes............

Save the whales. Collect the whole set.

A day without sunshine is like, night.

On the other hand, you have different fingers.

I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory.

42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name.

I feel like I'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe.

Honk if you love peace and quiet.

Remember, half the people you know are below average.

He who laughs last thinks slowest.

Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

I drive way too fast to worry about cholesterol.

Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have.

Monday is an awful way to spend 1/7 of your life.

A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.

Change is inevitable, except from vending machines.

Get a new car for your spouse. It'll be a great trade!

Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.

Always try to be modest, and be proud of it!

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

How many of you believe in telekinesis? Raise my hand...

OK, so what's the speed of dark?

How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink?

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked
something.

When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

Everyone has a photographic memory; Some just don't have film.

If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

What happens if you get scared half to death twice?

I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.

Why do psychics have to ask you for your name?

AND THE ONE I RELATE TO THE MOST THESE DAYS--

Inside every older person is a younger person, wondering what the hell
happened.

Spider was sitting there last night, glass of red in hand, soaking up the atmosphere, thinking back on our travels as a group, over the past year.

We have tried several venues, all interesting, all discarded for various reasons.

Looking around the room I was amazed, yet again, at all the new faces. P51 had been trying for six months to make it to a meeting, he finally made it, well done. Hope the wait was worth it.

Bill was the 'chair', and he did an excellent job of keeping the unruly element in line (well, me mostly).

Bill aka williamat is, and always has been, the driving force behind this group.

Considering the size of our group, it is amazing that he is able to give each person a chance to speak.

We only have a couple of hours and there is lots to talk about especially at the moment.

Found an interesting little bottle shop near our new venue (very cool place to meet, with heaps of parking).

The lady at the bottle shop was very helpful, she came up with a 2002 Merlot which was quite drinkable and not expensive.

The' usual suspects' helped to make it an interesting night.
Michael's laptop and projector were a huge plus as always, thanks Mike.

The US traders gave us an insight into their strategy and lifestyle, very interesting.

There was the usual talk about CFDs.
When I opened my email today I noticed that DFF are changing the rules. On the ASX they are restricting us to the top 100 and decreasing the leverage to 10% down from 5%. Something similar for the US markets.

We must be a bit better at this than they thought we would be.

Back to the meeting, it looks like we have found a new home. Cost worked out to be $5 per person, quite reasonable.

What a lot has happened in this last year. How far we have come. What a lot of faces have passed through our meetings. We have some real stayers as well.

I am getting a real buzz out of watching my new found friends become more and more successful.

There will come a time when the more successful ones will disappear to live on their mountain top or sandy shore, but for the time being we get to enjoy their company and rejoice in their victories.

Maybe we should plan to have our tenth anniversary meeting in Venice, Fiji or Paris. Any suggestions?

Spider,
Thanks for your report on last night, I think all enjoyed. You must learn to kerb your sometime frightful exaggeration. I have always been inspired by the evident talent at these gatherings and thankful to be a part. The talent is evident not only in the experienced but the newbies too, who always seem to come up with sensible positive approaches to trading.
Spider: what is the average life of an arachnid?. For me, make that a 5 year celebration, my golf is already wavering.
It's a lot of fun being there too. Cheers, Bill.

Robert,
This is a shock, I am bewildered but it is not mine to reason why?, only to express my deep regret and hope that in time you may see fit to attend at least occasionally.
I thank you for your priceless contribution to the group and wish you all possible success. I hope and trust we will meet again as friends. Sincerely, Bill.

Robert,

You will be sadly missed. I have learnt heaps from yourself, and I was counting on learning heaps from you in the future.

Please try and make to our meetings from time to time - I/we need the help.

Good luck in the future.

Struggling along,
Mosaic

Robert

Was it something that we said? I too will miss your input, there is much for us newbies to learn and I have really valued your generosity (and others)who have been willing to share their techniques, strategies, successes and different trading styles.

Who is going to put us right now on where to place that damned frustrating trendtracker thingy?

Like Spider, I see a huge change in the group since I first attended back in February. People have grown, developed different ways of trading yet together the group is beginning to actually feel like a group and not just a meeting of individuals with a secret passion.

Trading is like a secret, one that often cannot be shared amongst friends or colleagues only because they have no knowledge or experience of it and little understanding of what it entails nor how it can become all consuming. Sometimes too much so.

I look forward to hearing how the American seas are faring regularly from you, Maurice & Lafee.

Cheers

Susieq

Takes a bit to get scalper to post, sounds like you died, hope your are just in a consolidation pattern and are finding support to rocket through resistance and enlighten us with more of your wealth of knowledge.

Trend tracker says your are about to do a u-turn on your last post.

Hope i am reading it right?

Cheers bud,
Will catch up

uturn,
Only got to ask a couple of questions of you, but really appreciated your comments and help.

Hopefully its only a short break, maybe if we changed to daylight hours sooner, so that you could still get back and look at the 'real' market in 'normal' hours, would help

Being purely selfish, your explanations on Compression triangles, 3 higher lows, spinning tops, doji's and drawing trend tracker lines really helped crystalise some ideas for me. I can only offer the laptop and projector.

Whatever happens, I wish you good fortune, health and wisdom.

Hopefully our paths will cross again.
Michael

Hi uturn
I enjoyed talking to you about fast move break out patterns and the advice you freely gave about the T/Tracker ect. it was much appreciated.
I would have liked to discuss these methods and what I am currently using with you a bit more in depth.
Being new to the group I may not be qualified to pass an opinion but from what I have seen so far a trading group or any group fo
