Ahoy smooth talking Officer Ice

I take what you say onboard
However with great respect I am not too sure these are the conditions for the thrill seeking extreme Day Trippers but maybe more suited to the long term cruise strategy of our once Great Ship "Incredulous"
(NOW Re-rated to the Good Ship "Incredulous"

If I were a Day tripper I would want a lot more factors and odds in my favour

That is of course, if you have so much faith in your depth sounding equipment you think all offers and bids are displayed on screen as a matter of courtesy and all is fair play in this greatest of all sports???

Fair play ?
What a joke! (TBC)

I personally don't think our competitors play fair at all as displayed in the problem of spotting icebergs and submerged floating containers
Most are hidden below the water line and out view from our experienced crew on watch

Do you mean the extreme Intra-day Trippers or the extreme T+3 ocean racers?

I honestly feel we have have one of the best extreme sailors onboard in Officer/Pirate Scalper (but as you know a really fine gentleman with his shipmates)

What do you think Pirate Scalper?
Would you set sail in these confusing and chaotic sea formations
or wait ONE MORE DAY?

Ahoy CC!
Top of the morning... !
Extreme daytrippers will not wait to jump ship. If volume or price rise does not complement any expected possible run there will be little chance of punters holding overnight or three. News junkie day trippers may do better, but this is simply gambling as we know it.

As for the ASX I'm hoping for a strong bounce off 3375 sometime in the next two trading sessions for pity's sake.
I can't say I really expect it though. There seems to be a heavy spanner hidden somewhere in the works. An Easterly only drift is not really an invitation is it... !?

Captain this is better weather for the Scalpers than the hope & holders.

Even if the price of nickel jumps 5% it is not going to have the same effect it once did. There are a lot of HH's out there that just want to get some of their money back, thus a lot of overhead resistance.

In a sea of red, the little greenies are easier to pick out and a little action can be found.

Regards to depth a good day trader can see a lot more than just what the depth of field offers, by watching a stock all day you can see the things that give you edge that are not obvious to the casual observer.

My biggest problem is what incense cone to burn on a bad weather day, "Nag Champa","Moon","Sandelwood" or even "Aphrodisia", and how to get that gold luster back onto the worry beads, or understanding what the all mighty Budda is telling me about what the day holds for me.

Cheers

Scalper.

PS Times like these it is good to have the CFD account which allows an each way bet. It's a terrible thing to feed off other peoples Fear and Greed?

I just want the icing not the whole cake.

Ahoy Braveheart

I don't know what's worse?
Suffering sea-sickness, boredom or withdrawal symptoms that come with not hoisting any new sheets at dawn

Can you see any wind around?

Our LUM seems to have confirmed the low FINALLY!
Commander Diamond Joe's GKR looks interesting
The spreads on his QUR and ARO are un-sailable!
Thank God we got in near the lows and averaged down when we did, I hope?

Otherwise not much joy on this side of the ship

Hi CC and crew

Everything is very quite at my end. I have been working in the garden digging out a plum tree and repairing a stone wall.
HDR rights issue this month. I was thinking of averaging down MMNOA. Having been caught with a few. Not alot of liquidity in the market depth at these prices. PM out of favour generally. But good news??? NGG drilling results should start to be disclosed shortly

The US $ strength seems to to rule the markets ATM

Jules's NCP put got me thinking that I dont have any trading accounts that allow shorting of index or shares was thinking about opening CFC account or similar any suggestions

Cheers good luck
$

Ahoy Able-seaman Dollar

Averaging down or up with a #2 or #3 sail are still individual tacks and should always be executed if you can ask yourself
"Would I hoist this sail if I had not been caught out???
If the answer is YES then SO BE IT and god be with you

What you must try to remember is that if you average down too many times you may be asked to take a seat on the board back on land
This would interfere greatly with your love for sailing the ASX on the good ship "Incredulous"

In the money Warrants are your safest way to short the ASX

Just as there is little success in long range weather forecasting there is little to no success in long term TA forecasting

So all you have to do is concentrate on the Short term and make the correct judgement
Personally I think the worst maybe over for more sails than not but there is always situations to suit all sailors

Luckily I lowered most of our gold and silver class in the nick of time but as usual hesitated and got caught out with a few

I'm itching to hoist the #2's but am still a little concerned with the lack of interest shown by other skippers in the Gold and Silver Class at this time

Ahoy Captain

Must say, I'm finding the choppy conditions of the past few months something of a challenge. Life was so much easier at sea under blue skies and a full sail.

How are things with you..I trust the good ship Incredulous is still making steady headway NE.

With yesterday's warm weather the fog has begun lifting on the Southern Ocean and I can make out some familiar features on my charts once again. I thought I might share my sightings with you.

Just off my port side is a buoy bobbing at latitude 39 with pennant atop rippling in the breeze. I can just make out the marking BQT. From here I am hopeful of reaching latitude 46 degrees in the next few days but I am by no means certain.

Oh yes, LUM and PSA have also popped up on my radar screen and I'll be following them closely over the coming days too. As you know LUM's an old favourite of mine, it really got my pulse racing when it hit latitude 90 something last year. While I don't expect to get there again a few degrees from where I am now would be most welcome.

Happy sailing and regards to the crew.

Midas

(Holding LUM and BQT)

First mate spids on deck.

spids met the most interesting taxi driver today.
He is a night owl like spids.
He lives near the water and spids is in the forest.
We both agreed that where we live has kept us sane (well almost, in spids case).

spids 'longs ' have stopped bleeding and his shorts are moving along nicely. Interesting days.
The ASX seems to have bounced off it's trendline so the bulls will be happy in the short term.

spider's youngest is learning to drive at the moment so spider has been racking up the K's as nervous passenger.
He's doing well, having used up only one of his nine lives! That delivery van does not know how lucky it is!

BTW if you are out there driving around and you see a learner, don't be STUPID enough to cut in front of them or pass them on the inside!
There might be an ancient nervous trader sitting in the passenger seat!
Youngest son also had his first breathalizer test the other morning.
It was about 1am and we coming home from basketball, nearly home when we got waved over.
The police lady was very supportive.
She said that it was good that he was out and about getting some experience!
Coppers were rarely that polite to me at his age!

It's been a long day and spider has driven many K's so it's about time to turn in for the night.

I hope tomorrow brings you good fortune.
Sleep well crew.

spider.

If you see one of these on the roads, and it is wearing an 'L' plate, give it plenty of room!
