Phew, what a night at the tavern! I just got into the office.We had Marsupial,currently running first in the Hall of fame,Shawky,Philo,Doc,Stevo,David,Bobby,Diane,Ranjit,Roddy,Benjamin and myself.Many are very experienced traders, with a few newbies but successful traders,different time frame nevertheless very successful in their own rights.Each had a different tale to tell and we all had a wonderful night. Someone suggested that we should have this more often.With Christmas coming soon, we may have another one in January or February at another location.

I'm new to this site. I'm from the Hills area and I'm interested to meet the group to build my poor trading system. Unfortunately I'm shift worker and it will be difficult to meet for the venues on week days afternoon.

Although I live in the mountains, I would be happy to make the hour or so drive to join the get together. Up here I am pretty much a self taught loner in the trading world so some cross pollination of ideas would be worthwhile. I shall keep an eye on this thread....Tony_M
I might open a thread to see if there are any other mountain folks out there skulking in their mist shrouded home offices like me.

Tony,
Before joining the Forum,I was like you, trading by my self.In the last 3 years nobody seemed to like to talk about shares.Even the chartists I know took a break.It was people like Spider, Snifter and some others that made me feel well come.I have made some friends through the Forum and find that the majority are so helpful and unselfish.Although I trade mainly as a hobby,I find that most in the Forum are very supportive and really go out of their way to assist.
Although many members are around the Hills area, we come from different areas, from all walks of life with different trading strategies and different experience.You are most well come.We may try to have another one early January. We look forward to seeing you.

Hillside ultralounge 6:30pm for drinks
273 Old Northern Road, Castle Hill
7:30pm dinner upstairs at the Chinese Restaurant
Parking available at the rear of the building as before.

I picked the 17th as marsupial is available that week (or the week before I assume). I am easy either way so here are the options:
10th or 17th Feb 2005 with venue details as above.
If all who wish to attend please let me know if both days suit. I will select the day based on maximum attendees.
