Hi,
I'm not quite in the Blue Mountains (although I can see them from my bedroom window in South Windsor). Would love to meet some of the people from the group. I'm mostly a lurker with the occasional post, have been trading for a couple of years; goal to trade full time as soon as possible (probably two to three years from now).
Just started trading CFDs, mostly because I want to continue trading profitably after the market starts it's next down trend. But for now, the gearing lets me take advantage of opportunities I'd otherwise have to watch go by.
Would appreciate being informed of any meetings. (I went to the Investor's Show at the Convention Centre, but it isn't the same as meeting real people)....

Looks like we have a gathering forming from the base of the mountains to the top. Possibly 6 or 7 potential starters at this point. I have 2 from Blackheath including me. Possibly we could meet somewhere geographically in the middle and if anyone has any ideas about a location, possibly a club, where we could get some privacy and maybe has a meeting room with a whiteboard and even better a screen or projector where we could attach a PC.
Both of us from Blackheath are retired so we are pretty flexible timewise so nominate times that would suit you and we can work through that......Tony_M

Calling all Blue Mountains Traders. Second call for Blue Mountains Traders (and western Sydney). Is anyone out there?
I am only an occasional poster at these type of sites, and as a trader (part-time) am quite isolated here in Katoomba. We seem very thin on the ground in the mountains. My trading style is largely based on simple forms of technical analysis with a fair sprinkling of FA and is short term anything from a 5 minute day trade to a month (rare). I always trade long mostly on speculative stocks. I would be most interested in finding a small group to share views, learn and perhaps meet up occasionally.
