Sorry Folks,
I promise I was always going to post a reminder that our REGULAR meeting will be on WED. 29. at Northbrook House, behind the Malvern Library which is at 1257 High St. Malvern. Had major problem with upgrade to WinXP, Lost a day, cos of it. See you there, Don't forget to let us have notice of any particular subject you'd like to hear about. I'd hate us to be stuck for a word or two.
A lady will be there about 6.50 to give us a key, I will expect to be there by then also, however if the traffic is boiled spagetti again some one will introduce themselves and I.m sure she will leave tha key with you. We will then have it for the duration of our booking.
Cheers, Bill.

Thanks for that Spider and Bill. Look forward to seeing you then.

I wanted to post this website:
http://www.the-stock-market-trader.com

The website is run by a fella called 'Rocky Tapscott', who was mentored by Bill McLaren (the guy who's videos uturn has been bringing along to the IC meetings).

Rocky offers his strategy (analysis, entry, exit, everything), a newsletter, etc, all for free. I have the McLaren videos and although I have only had a quick look at the site, it looks fantastic, with many of McLaren's principles included.

I highly recommend a look!

Pav.

As I don't know Melbourne very well, could anyone recommend a nice, comfortable (and safe)apartment/motel/hotel for the night. I couldn't find anything in the RACV Guide for Malvern. Much appreciated. BYO - does that mean you bring your own glass as well?

Thanks in anticipation.

Kathyb

Hi KathyB,

Sorry can't help as I don't know motels/hotels but Malvern is a fairly up market suburb. Someone that lives in the area should be able to provide advice.

As the new kid, would you like to put something on the agenda for discussion to help us make your trip is worthwhile.

BYO glass.

Cheers,
Mosaic

Thanks for the welcome last night, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with you all and putting a face to some of the interesting "nom de plumes" that are used.

I just wanted to double check something that was said last night when discussing Trendtracker. I believe it was said that you put the red line across the two highs and the green on the trough? or did I here wrong. Would appreciate feedback from those who were present.

Many thanks for your hospitality!

kathyb

Kathy, thanks for the public embarrassment. The correct statement should have been the green line across the two highs ( resistance ) and the red on the trough ( support ). Otherwise everything, including the trendtracker, is upside down.

Apart for my temporary colourblindness hope you enjoyed the night.

Cheers Macka

Hi KathyB,

I found it very beneficial having a yarn to an option writer, and getting some insight into the operation of the options market.

I'm glad that you enjoyed our meeting, and hopefully we will see you next time.

Thanks for the vino - my shout next meeting.

Cheers,
Mosaic

Kathy, It is great that you choose to thank us for our hospitality, I am pleased to say that that is how it has been from day one. Friendly and stimulating.
You started out very positively and we know your future participation will add to the tone of the meetings.
For those who missed, we had a good insight to Metastock from a user, in the person of Michael ( Mykral; I think). Warrants and options got a good working over, and Trend tracker was investigated again, with perhaps not quite as much enthusiasm in general, but there was one absolute converted devotee. We had a while practising being economists. The enthusiasm in itself is an inspiration. No meeting December but same place last Wed. of Nov. Look forward to seeing all again, Bill.

Hello fellow Eastern Suburbians, Our next meeting is at 7.00 pm Northbrook house 1257 High street Malvern, Wed. next, 26/11.
Confuscious say: One who rapes the farmer's daughter and murders his son, cannot expect to sup at his table without the subject being raised.
On Wed. next MYKRAL will bring us right up to date with the combined work of himself and others, I omit names in case of possible oversights, ON "stages". He will then feed greedily on the inevitable enthusiastic and valuable input to which we are becoming accustomed on these occasions. This will be our last for 2003.
See you all there, Bill.

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
twisted by knaves to trap fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken
and stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
To be cont'd.

This will be our 12th meeting.
We will be one year old, happy birthday to us!

So, bring a party hat and balloon.

If you cannot find either, don't worry, I sure someone will have a spare.

P.S. BYO libation, spider has a cork screw.

Cheers to all, last nights meeting was a bit quieter than usual, a bit of a pity since it was our birthday and the last for the year.

However i enjoyed the night, especially the long chats afterwards and a few drinks.

Was i in the little boys room when the hat went around for the cost of the room, or did we all forget?

Who do i owe. Will send one AMP share to cover the cost. Seriously who coughed up & how much?

I hope the group can become bigger & better in the new year and we all can learn how to contribute more to the group to keep its relevance. We all have something to offer, no matter where we are in the trading cycle.

Good trading to all.

Cheers

Scalper

Not one single party hat or balloon!

We really need to learn how to celebrate.

Special thanks to those kind souls who shared their ideas on short term trading.

spider decided to sack his 'long term' internet broker today, after a phone conversation confirmed that they are not going to introduce 'stop loss' orders.

It was the excuss that they gave that galled me!

AOT here I come.

We had a new lady trader in the group last night, she asks excellent questions.

As always, the discussion afterwards is as good as the meeting itself.

Thanks again to williamat for organizing, and myklan for the hardware (and the Weinstein scan discussion).

Scalper has put his hand up , but I think that there was one other who forgot to chip in for expenses this month, so remember to bring $6 to give to williamat next time, otherwise he will be out of pocket.

It really is an excellent venue, even if it always takes spider much longer to get there than he thinks it will.

spider's santa hat was a highlight of the evening.

Still cannot believe that no one brought balloons!!

P.S. scalper, what was the name of that mag' you showed us?
