CREW HANDS REQUIRED to make a challenge on the ASX Game 1st Prize $5000 State prize $1000 Starts in a couple of weeks!!!(asx.com.au) There is no time left to dilly dally around! Any sailor worth his salt has already entered or is about to enter (NOW!) I noticed that 1st officer Spids is happy with his brokers ranking in the top 5% That is why I am the Captain and Spids is the 1st Mate The Captain tries to get into the top 2% and never gives up An impossible goal in his game of Golf but for this Captain it may be an achievable goal "Sailing the ASX" The Captain will be asking a lot from his crew this time in hope we will all achieve the top 2% status Lady luck will always decide the ultimate winner in each state I will also be asking Admiral Twiggy and his Mate Robin to assist us Wish me luck! In order to get up to an ocean- racing standard I feel Incredible Charts is up there in the top 2% "Chart-wise" and "Chat-wise" However I feel IC Scanning/Screen/Searching are below the world average (Yes! I agree it is the best in Australia but I feel it is not in the "World's best") I will burn the midnight oil tonite and tomorrow night to show you what I mean Admiral I was one of the 1st to throw FA overboard and sail solely on TA Maybe it's now time to throw TA overboard and work with SA (Screen/Scan/Search Analysis) It would indeed be a very brave man (as in Human )to not have a look at a chart (TA) but then again Wonders never cease to amaze me Do you know? There are still a few landlubbers out there still looking at the (FA"s) to build up some courage to go a sailing on the ASX
Sorry Spids Top 5% would not get you into our fabulous cricket team Top 2% the same Maybe that is why we both/all love "Sailng the ASX" There are still so many out there with bad habits Long term excuses and baggage if you know what I mean? Ahoy crew As you probably know I have already penciled in the Ist Officer and Cook But I am not too sure if they will ever set sail with me again? TOO FAST! TOO SLOW! Such is life! We will also be needing the services of an experienced Naval Officer to take watch on those blasted Dividends/ Booby prizes and Fluffy toys you can only win at Luna park or on the Global Stock Exchanges There is no end to their trickery when you start sailing on the ASX Top 100 and the Global Titans Believe ME! They take no prisoners! These sails are much sort after by landlubbers and it could be of value to know what is Going Ex_Divided this week It would be nice one day to see these booby prizes in the charts Admiral but that would only be historical and I for one have a list a mile long to get the Screen/ Search/ Scans up to "World's best" first I don't think it will be very difficult but may be a little time consuming No point in adding to an already very long TO DO LIST unless there is a bloody good reason As a fellow Man of the Sea Admiral I know you will get your Incredible crew on to it as fast as you can and put in place the correct priorities The Position of Ship's Bosun is still up for grabs??

Ahoy Admiral Twiggy/1st Mate Robin Looks like I will be Sailing Solo again! I have E-mailed you privately with what I think is World's best in the Area of SA (Screen Analysis) I quite like the VV (Virtual Volume for intra-day) PSAR weekly and daily cross-overs and then backed sorted to the day of the cross-over I also like a 50% line drawn on the RSI STO %R and your other indicators Search for those over 50% (+ or - yesterdays close) Search for those under 50% I would also like to be able to set my own parameters but your normal defaults are OK as a starter Also I like the Idea of scanning for the % off the days high Intraday if possible and close Candlestick Officer St Perteroh would love this I know Hoping you can Apply a few of these upgrades ASAP Yours faithfully Captain Chaza
PS It would also be nice to scan for Options/Warrants/ADR's with a volume filter

Former first officer spids reporting for duty. As spids is a long haul sailor I feel that I am not qualified to be first mate, but I would like to help if I can. I did enjoy the night watch on our previous journeys, so maybe that could be my role, allowing the faster minds to get a good nights sleep. It would be an honour to act in any capacity. My ocean going papers are up to date (I assume I need them even though this is a short term sprint.) araneus.

I suppose since I'm penciled in, I'll join the First mate Spid's and do my best to alert the Incredulous crew of any pending trades. However no promises, it's so easy to get way laid in land lubbers land. Completely off the top 100. Remember Captain when I mentioned JUM as a potential gainer in the market .. A year to date I think it is now, talk about timing. Anyhow they posted a 100 percent increase in profit today for the past 12 months. If I really look hard I'm sure I've got some in the bottom drawer. PS .. I've not looked at the chart lately so it could be just a nothing. Julles

Ahoy Officer Spids It is with great delight to hear you are prepared to serve as the 1st Officer and Mate on the GOOD SHIP "Incredulous" (sometimes not so good) No better Mate can one ever go to sea with on these treacherous seas! The way in which you settled the crew when the Captain turned the ship's stern into those walls of huge waves in Voyage #1 is now legendary They ate, laughed and drank heaps while the decks were being pooped Only the two of us knew of the horror up on deck! Fortunately our Long Rage MA withstood the forces of the sea and we can ALL laugh about it now! LOL! Such is Humour at sea! Don't forget to pack your joke book !!! In times of Great Fear we will grab onto anyone of those 2 books It is hard to know how to set a true course in such a race? Will 50% in 17 weeks do it for us? Or If we only do the minimal trade of one, do you think we could still win in the hope all others sink and we win by default with a winning margin of say 1% OUCH! I do not feel this is a sprint 1st Officer Genus Araneus Spids or a "Piss in the Ocean" or even a "Piss in the Park " for Landlubbers Starting date of 24 Feb 05 and with the scheduled finishing date of 16 June 05 is 17 LONG weeks I assure you of one thing! Mate This will not be plain sailing! Hard Sailing is not good enough a word for what she can throw up at us in 17 weeks In any given 17 week long voyage I suppose we should try to make the necessary preparations to face the sea, her tantrums and be sea-ready for anything she could possibly throw up at us? Got any good ideas at this very early stage?

Ahoy Sea-Cadet Officer and Ample Cook Braveheart I need a few more days to welcome you back onboard properly ! I find myself speechless and struggling to get a few words together I am sure I will come to my senses sooner or later Let's hope so anyway? I hope you know what I mean!?! Before you, I used to think it was unlucky to have women onboard these great sailing ships You have changed my view on seamen and I am now thinking whether we should have any men " MAN" sailors onboard at all! (Naturally the exception being the Captain himself and his 1st Mate Spids)

Ahoy 1st Mate/Officer Sptds What do yo make of the fact that 4 out of the best 5 performers today were BANKS!! (ASX 100) Could you have seen anything over the horizon in the short/medium/long term to make our beloved and respected Banks/Investment houses move in such a way? Are the rest of us now in for some more bad luck, calm winds, poor weather and unfavourable sea conditions ? It is always an each-way bet I guess less Brokerage! Crikey crew!!! I think we will have to get a lot smarter in the near future and act a lot quicker if we are going to make any meaningful mark on the ASX Game

Ahoy beloved Captain Chaza... You mention banks being the goers at the moment, I reckon anything to do with stock market investment ie funds, insurance co.s anything to do with parking their money in the stock market...S/M to some! Even the miners who are little money pots are going to do well. 'Cept those who are crap at hedging!!!!!! Funny how everything seems to do really well when the S/M is on the ups. UPS and DOWNS, UPS and DOWNS.......oooh I'm feeling a bit sea sick. Heading for a bit of shore leave Capitan.................................heave ho!!

Ship Ahoy Which banks had the best slopes? You could have seen it in the Hilarius Hall of Fame last Thursday :- Maybe it's time to come ashore and start climbing the slopes of Mount Hilarius? The chart depicts centred daily moving averages for each stock, assuming an initial outlay of $10,000 ... with relative performance indicated ... clear the salt from your eyes and join us on the slopes You could have been ready for the climb higher this week A steep but enjoyable learning curve

I come in peace to share my thoughts and to shine my candle light on possible long term opportunities

Thanks Hilarius I just found the thread What was the idea of hiding it under LONG TERM? No sportsman worth his salt would ever look there! Seems such a lack of commitment to excellence The problem as I see it in mountaineering is when you get to the top there is only way to go In Sailing we have developed the idea that the world is not flat but is actually round!! There is no top! And depending on where you live we think everybody else is down under We call this one Gravity! Theoretically we can sail NNE NE or NEE for as many short terms as we can (seas and weather permitting of course) I know this is a very difficult concept for Landlubbers to accept They often sell at the top of a page and buy at the bottom of a page They either think the world is flat or just Buy and Hold on for dear life and only Sell when the kids get their hands on the scrip and put them in a nursing home Here's hoping we don’t all get old at the same time Captain Chaza

Captain You surely don't want us poor friars on land to be buffeted (lol) by every passing breeze (gale), tacking from side to side when wishing to move in a straight line, or hanging over the side with motion sickness when we should be at our screens? The view from the summit of Caltex is inspiring, and the abseiling down from the peak so much more enjoyable when the trailing stop has worked its magic! Join us in letting your profits run, and cutting your losses short! Blessings and Peace from the Friary Hilarius
