Ahoy Sea-cadet-Officer Princess Ann I spoke to the Ist Officer and he said "We all go to sea to forget Land issues All is forgiven and forgotten" " We sail together for the fun of it and any prize money we can win if we are lucky" he said Welcome aboard and thanks for your watchlist Ahoy Officer Hershy Can you cook? It seems the 1st officer has not been able to find our ample-cook Braveheart As an experienced naval officer you could also help supervise and train our brave and loyal sea-cadets, keep an eye on the wind I am sure your services as is the case with all our well seasoned and even novice crew-hands will be invaluable Unfortunately we only have 2 eyes and 2 thumbs each I have found the more is the merrier in any voyage in deep seas Welcome to all the novice sailors We leave at dawn tomorrow It is never too late to pull out but after 10.00AM AEST the Captain will not be turning back for anyone

Captain, last minute additions to the crew. Welcome aboard Kieran aka 'variable' and 'couta'. As the captain has stated, all hands be prepared to set sail on the morning. An early night for all, with the first mate on watch. The first mate does not surface till noon after a night watch, so get to your duties head down bum up, and don't disturb the first mate unless we hit a whale! Apart from your normal seaborne duties, you may suggest possible shares to chase on our great journey. We have a few TA/FA seamen on board but please remember that the captain is a strict TAer, so any FA in support of your position must come after your TA analysis. We have several new seamen on this voyage, as first mate I say to you , do not be frightened to speak up and share your views. The captain has time for all who sail with him, and all are given equal respect. We are on the verge of another great adventure, and I wish us all good hunting, may we arrive back on land with our pockets full of treasure to share with our loved ones. first mate spids. P.S. For the longer haul, a look at ORI and BLD might be of interest.

Ahoy Sea-Cadet-Officer Princess Ann We only have $100k to spend on sails at this early stage Which do you suggest we lower to make room for on the mast ??? ??? It would be impossible for me to ship survey everyones personal watchlists When the job seems immense one tends not start at all It's just the sort of guy I am However What I think we all DO need is an All Uranium Watchlist as distinct from a "DAYWATCH" Similar to this mornings All Property Watchlist Job Well done again! I think it was "Shawky" who was working on the idea months ago??? If thats any clue? Salute
PS If I burn the Midnight oil I always seem to miss-out on some most beautiful Dawns Note the beauty of Green Candlesticks

I have two suggestion, one long term - CSM and one short - ECU. Oh Capn' Sir, could you explain to me the significance of the cost of the sails ? Like I stated on an earlier occasion, not having taken part in previous voyages, I am not completely familiar with the terminology. Have taken heaps of sea sickness medication, lashed myself to the mast, am wearing my rubbers, er, seal skins and I am itching to set sail. And I have purchased copious amounts of Navy issue rum. Just call me Peg Leg Pete......
The road to success is usually under construction. http://members.optusnet.com.au/~hershy/

G'day First officer Spids. I was wondering if you had room on board for one more. I've been stuck on land for a few months now and i relish the idea of sailing with a crew for a change instead of lumbering about on my own like i have for the last 10 or so years. I can't cook, i can't clean and if you give me two ends of a piece of rope I'll tie them up so good you'll have to cut the knot apart. I can however fill out running sheets, keep logs, count the captains gold, fix all sorts of broken bits the crew might have and i can always throw in 2 cents into any argument whether it's required or not. Occasionally i can even spot a breeze on the horizon, although i have been known to be oblivious to storms. Cheers, Dave

captain, may I present with a report on our engine that is driving the US. No doubt it will be tested at sea in the next few sessions, but looks to me that engine is still strong.
While checking on my homemade radar equipment last friday, I found IWL appearing on my scan. Worth a look. (Message edited by robin on August 21, 2005)

Bon voyage CC & fearless crew, I shall pray from the clifftops for a fair steady wind to take you on your north easterly direction. Send me a morse signal every now and then, to let me know how fares the voyage. I do envy you but will try to assist where I can with seaworthy sails. CC you could do worse than check out the coal stocks of MCC, GCL, EXL etc which all look very bullish to me. Hershey The Increduluous always sets sail with a full set of sails amounting to $100,000. Crew orders are usually given late at night or first thing in the morning. Hoist at dawn the green AZN translates as buy on the open $10,000 of AZN. SImilarly lower means to sell the stock. All crew should assist with supplying wind to the sails where possible. CC has outlined cost of sails in thread above. The cook usually advises of the breakfast menu each morning, if fair winds then generally a hearty nourishing one of fat bacon rashers, eggs sunnyside, lashings of fruit toast pots of steaming coffee etc. If a foul wind has beset the ship then the crew can count themselves lucky with a hot coffee or worse cold soggy toast. Much of the morale of the ship is tied up with good cooking so please ensure an adequate supply of rum is on hand for the captain as he is wont to call for it often. Pray that things don't get so bad you are eating fish for days in a row. May the gods sail with you, you are all in very good hands with the Captain and First Mate Spids Cheers SusieQ ( hoping Julles may be a late starter)
