Updated Logs! Has anyone else noticed the direct correlation between how frequently I update the logs, and how much you actually want to see what is in them? It may just be my novice eyes, but there is 24k on board screaming to be spent - if we are going down, can we at least make it fun? SCO Brains, the bearer of bad news

I've noticed that there has been no posts, does that count? It is unfortunate Brain that things happen, things that really can't be explained. But have you ever felt as if BIG BROTHER is watching over you ??? In the Galley, life goes on, trades comes , trades go. Julles / Braveheart /Galley Maid

Captain oh Captain oh Captain, I've been simply trying out a new theory relating to your beloved RSI .. All I've got to do is get my mind around longer term, it's not the weight of sail it's the encumberment. Brains is right .. No - one talks on this forum, Not even to the cook! So to Brain's I give Lumpy Custard, simply cause there was no response Yet he expected one. SCO Brave-heart

Ahoy crew, however many are left. Tis true that we hit a rough patch. However it seems that the winds have been blowing north for a week or 2 now. The Blue chippers are all regaining a bit of strength ( except BSL, although i admit i bought some on friday). There are bargains aplenty everywhere. We just need to gamble on the ASX, will it continue to rise again, or is this a prelude to a major drop ???.

The first mate has been rewatching 'Hornblower'. So I think that Napoleon's navy may have stormed on board during the day watch (it could not happen on the night watch!) and snatched the good captain away. Check all floating bottles for messages or ransom demands. In the meantime, all crew please note that we will continue to circle and look for any sign of the Captain. No matter how magnificent her crew may be the good ship 'Incredulous' is not herself without her galant captain. The lookout will scan all deserted islands, and the crew is instructed to keep it's chin up until the Captain escapes and returns to us. Julles, you may want to make plans for a celebration dinner for when the captain returns. Lot's of rum for the crew, single malt for the first mate, and pie and chips for the Captain. Finest crystal and silver service, of course. Horatio Hornblower never gave up, and neither do we. First mate spids.

As I mentioned in another thread, even TLS tech’l service can not be that bad. So I’m not sure what’s going on here. Used to be a very busy thread –one of my favorites in fact- my inspiration for the AHOY. But now it’s so quiet- so eerily quiet. Hopefully no one minds my dropping in. Hopefully too that it’s not a case of an illustrious Capt’n abandoning a loyal and brave crew. Hopefully it’s got nothing to do with his support/admiration for a millionaire pied piper in another ship in another time. The Capt’n is just too illustrious for that. By the way, variable( you seem to be a jolly traveler), whatever the outcome of this journey maybe on ‘v’ remember there are other AHOYs out there. In fact if that 25K you mentioned a few days back is still available you might consider hoisting a sail on a ship with initials QGC. Oooops. Just an expression of enthusiasm plus a li’l of a ramp. But truly now there are indeed heaps of other Ahoys out there. Absolutely my last visit to this thread. I do apologize for the intrusion. regards

Wannabe I'm so pleased to see you are still on deck, Sometimes I gather it takes just us the crew to rally a crew, when we pull together the Captain should appear, at least that is what I think Spider means. It makes sense to me, (but that's me isn't it) I took over the thread often on the first journey and didn't make a lot of sense at all, I was so excited. We made lots of money. How the journey for me started is something I'm so very proud of. The Captain believed in me! He picked me up from somewhere in this forum and made me welcome within his. God love the Captain, Crew love the Captain, Captains always look after the crew. AlWAYS ...

Ahoy Brave and Loyal crew Crickey Crew, That was horrible!! It's a long and longer story but TELSTRA have finally dug up the street and fixed the copper wiring (They Say????????) I hope????? Thank God we are not short term sailors What's new? Where in the Bloody Hell are we??? Anybody still onboard? Looks to me at this very early stage we'll have to do a little bit of "catch-up" When the going gets Tough the Tough start Tacking Salute for now Captain Chaza

Hellooooo CC How wonderful to hear your ahoy! Methought you may have been seduced into sailing warmer and balmier seas (ie gone on hols)and deserted the perilous cold stormy winds of the asx. Your crew will be pleased to hear your strong voice at the helm again, though I think one or two may have done a bunk, let's hope for the ship's sake they can be rounded up very quickly and put to work. First Mate Spids is still in the crows nest I think doing the midnight watch so may be able to shed some light on where the ship has drifted to over the past few weeks of storms and buffeting. Sailing the asx is very much like Melbourne's weather, huge electrical storms, flash flooding, unseasonal warm nights and muggy conditions- all within the driest and hottest year on record. It makes predictions, forecasting, projections in trading somewhat tricky as trusted indicators seem rusty, slow or fail to give an adequate reading, and the mob seems unsettled, one day exuberant and buying everything not nailed down in a frenzy of shopping and the next out of love with their purchases, hocking them off to the nearest and quickest buyer and moving on to the next wonderful and fabulous thing or hoarding their cash fearful the US bear has awoken from its giant sleep. Volatility is high as measured by the waves of the asx seas and the waves keep getting bigger. The ship will no doubt need reinforcing with strong sails if it is to make its way through. But I have every confidence in such a captain as yourself to bring it off again. as ever your faithful cheerleader SusieQ

Ahoy Captain, It's good to hear from you. Unfortunately i think i've ditched all the sails we had hoisted and have raised a few off my own steam. I'm fairly sure brains is still around somewhere. I'm sure i saw him a week or so ago. I always like a crappy October because it usually means a good christmas. Hopefully we don't pick up just as the market is running out of puff again. I agree with suzie though that there seems to be a lot of volatility out there. Anyway it's good to have you back

Welcome back Captain, It is good to see that the Telstra monster hasn't completely gobbled you up. I have to confess that I have completely neglected my post. Keel hauling is probably in order! When I returned from my shore leave I was completely swamped with "other" chores. Now I am about to take delivery of my new yacht. Not as big as the Incredulous, but strongly built none the less. It is designed for the blue waters of the Pacific rather than the waters of the ASX, and it will be taking up most of my time as I prepare for her maiden voyage up the east coast. If you can specify exactly what you want, I may just be able to squeeze in some charts for you occasionally. I won't be able to spend any time on design work. All the best to you and the remaining loyal crew. Many regards, Starb'd
