Cap'n, "I am only on the back sport's page because a few on the front page suffer from sea-sickness and complained" This alcove is then an appropriate and valuable lea shore, none the less for it's secludedness. I havn't lost sight of land while onboard. I agreed with Midge about a possible irrational exuberance you may unwittingly engender prematurely in the smaller class of sail not suited to the open seas. Some others were not seasick I recall so much as to believe you may be speaking in tongues as the ancient Alchemists say - it is contagious obviously as I sometimes believe I speak it also. So when Gibberish I heard was easily recognised, discounted - not so the greener vessels. Let's swear to not revisit those bygone waters without a cheerful repose. Pact. I don't understand just what you say some times, but I like to listen anyways just to be mindful and surely jump to the task also if it's not completely insane to me. I learn much from drawing alongside so ahoy there is till anon. As to Sailing - Under previous lookout I consider RIO may again be on the agenda briefly for Monday, judging by it's twin's performance. Fair Weather Old Salt, Ice.

Ahoy able seaman Justice and crew A very warm welcome aboard Justice The Captain remembers your support ages ago and Yes it is the RIO and thanks for saving me all the hassle of sending it out by secret messenger Please join us at the captain's table Captain Chaza
PS Re The small red ocean-racing type yachts are concerned we must always remember the "Titanic" and that more money is lost on the larger types when Sailing the ASX If we look them as small Jib sails, foresails and spinnakers sails as pictured below a child could design a beautiful and fast sailing ship from as low as $50,000 White Mainsails costing $20,000 ea Blue Storm sails costing $15,000 ea Green jib sails costing $10,000 ea Red foresails and spinnakers costing $5,000 ea Or they could just colour in the sheets of our "Incredible Ship" which I designed for speed

Ahoy loyal and very brave crew The waters around Wall St became a little foggy on Friday night However, we can land planes in the fog nowadays so I see no reason we can't sail through it We must hoist 1st the white RIO the blue QAN the green NRT the red MCR Then hoist the white NAB the blue CSL the green ROC the red NAM Naturally, we take down the white NCM the blue BPC the green CPU the red FUN We must make room on the masts for these expensive sails Hold on to The white NCP headsail The white SGB The blue BIL The green SRP(what a bitch?) The red SES / VRE/ PCH Bon voyage for now Captain Chaza

Captain and crew Ready to sail in the morning.....went to Captains web site and still taking it all in. You know crew it is hard to determine in your own mind what nature you personally have and then to adjust it to what you have to be...ie tech. or fund. This is an art and nature you must acquire .....it would be good to start out as a green gilled deck swabber of 16 or 18 as the Captain did and not a cynically 50 year old fart like me........so I continue to observe and take all this in..... I am having trouble getting my charts to add indicators.....I don't want to disturb the flow here so if someone could email me it may help Also a yeat ago I was told to look at MIC...comments? FR

A due diligence question or two for the Captain. (After all, none should embark on a voyage of any kind without first ensuring the leader is truly well versed and skilled in navigation of the territory about to be transversed). The rather impressive looking charts on your website appear to use 2 moving averages (15 & 30 Week WMA?), Parabolic SAR and volume-support/resistance levels to indicate long and short entries. There is also some sort of oscillating overlay. What indicator would this be? Also, what length moving averages are used in your charts? Many of the charts only show entries until October last year. Is this just due to lack of time to update the website, or has the system faded since then? Cheers, Josh

Captain Chaza, I feel it my duty as a junior sailor to question some of your calls. A good commander would expect and respect opinions of his subordinates and encourage the airing of them...perhaps this was what you were after! I appreciate the fact that you have many more years experience sailing the ASX - I have not, and will use it as a learning experience. Sir, although aircraft can land in fog these days they still do require a minimum forward visibility. I cannot see that with the following sails: RIO - MAs still trending down, unless you're trying to pick the 2 year base which still has another 1.50 down to go. QAN - MAs down, perhaps an ascending triangle forming (tho I'm not fully swept up on these)? NRT - only if it successfully breaks thru resistance at 4.00. CSL - 'talk to me Goose, talk to me' - inverted spin!!! eject! Perhaps the large volume may signal a reversal? ROC - potential perhaps tho last rise was on low volume. OK, I'm ready for the cat'o'nine tails anytime Sir. But as Spidey encourages people the more you ask or question the more you learn! All with due respect to the skipper of course, Your humble Able Seaman, wadda

Ahoy Josh "DUE DlLIGENCE?" It seems to me you do not have the courage to join this very brave and loyal crew We sail for FUN and the great free meals our magnificent cook seaman Julie puts on the captain's table "DUE DlLIGENCE?" What about the Captains of the AMP, TLS, PAS,HIH,ONE,AAA,POS,PDL,AUS,BPC, MAY, SOH, NFD,GCM, CRO, CTR,ALL,CPU, BIR,SRP,and BOR to name just 10% of our heavyweights "DUE DlLIGENCE?" Do you ask a taxi driver for a copy of his licence? A train driver for his? Maybe with my experience with taxi drivers lately you could be right? "Sailing the ASX" is an extreme sport and unfortunately is not for all Captain Chaza
PS re Your questions on my secret keel design you will have to wait for the book as half the information is dangerous (and so will your Great Captain Rene)

Alas Captain, You have a very good point. It seems I am not brave enough to sail this ship. If I were to catch a taxi, and the driver were evasive when asked for his license I would be surely suspicious as to his credibility and intentions. If he were also unable or unwilling to answer questions on how to reach the required destination, my suspicions would be raised further. After which I would bade him farewell and seek other more travelled paths. Regards, Josh PS - Dangerous technical analysis?

Gee the one thing I learnt while at sea was to never question the Captain, as frustrating as it was at times, they were always right even though at times one thought about swimming for the closest shore line that could be seen. Captains usually know all types of water's and weather and to entrust yourself at sea with another who is in command of your life takes gut's. I know a lot of seamen and women who have done just that I'll vouch for them as being stronger better people for it. Besides you don't have to invest your whole life savings in any of the crafts the Captain puts forward, you can treat them all as speculative until the proof is in the pudding. Which leads me too home made self saucing Chocolate pudding tonight with just a slight dash of King Island Cream..... Yum!
