Ahoy dollars I noticed your post before dawn and it did comfort me no end but I had to rush off It is strange that the RIO ,NAB, NCP are not following the same motion in the Northern Oceans? I never knew NRT was on the NYSE and have never looked as I only really sail NCP to help fill in the gaps If we are going to be a force in this International Sport I feel we should allocate duties to all and to have the best suited to the task at hand I feel you ( dollars) have the ability and should put your hand up to watch the Northern Oceans (Aussie stocks)) on behalf of This "Incredulous ship" Alerts are good enough for me as you know only the Captain goes down with the ship and if given enough time we could even discuss it with the mate and our brave, very fit and sea-ready crew C'mon dollars Please take on the role of Our "Northern Watch" I know you can do it!!! Still standing by on the bilge pumps Captain. The crew hadn't heard from you for a while...but then again you usually only venture out of your cabin after dark with the occasional afternoon foray for a visit to the heads. It's good to be King - or Captain in this case. Ready on the pumps, aye, sir. Happy with the NRT call but waited til it went above 4.00. ROC awaiting a break above 1.20. A swabby's got have some autonomy over his pay packet. wadda

Ahoy Wadda On this ship you must do as the Captain does Declare beforehand your intension to buy and then log it in Declare beforehand when you sell and log it out This can be done in minutes and I can accept up to five minutes is reasonable to post an honest log I prefer to just work on the open or close for the ease of paperwork Some others on this site I know are paper traders but to progress to real sailing you must be responsible to someone else and declare your actions and tell ( Show and tell if you wish) It's all very well to say I bought that one last month and I sold it this morning at the top The Captain does not believe in after the fact hindsight and all the illusions of it can give you Don't just declare the sell Declare the round trip (within 5 mins of each execution) That is paper trading at its best but it must be told /witnessed by someone else (The IC forum) Watch the difference it makes to you and how quickly you will learn and improve Only then should you take to the real sea as you feel sea- ready and able Captain Chaza
My paper trades are now in sync with the real world PPS2 I was once asked by a financial journalist of the AGE why chartists had holes in their shoes ?I showed him my new pair of SIOUX shoes and invited him back to my home to show him another 4 pair He was very impressed G'day Robo if you are still around

Capitano Chaza, No prob with all of that - totally agree and that is why I posted earlier questioning some of the calls (for learning benefit) just before we passed through a squall at the beginning of the week which doesn't quite seem to have abated too much yet. I do particularly agree with: 'but to progress to real sailing you must be responsible to someone else and declare your actions and tell' and playing with real money is oh so different from paper trades. Off for a quick rum before I kip. wadda

Ahoy Brave and Loyal crew Hold on tight as we push through the squall on minimum sails The NRT up another 5.8% on Wall St overnight Prepare to hoist some sails soon as we find fair wind and weather
I sometimes love sailing in bad weather I found a few of my old notes you may like to read to explain my pre-occupation with safety "Rough sea & Gale To the deep seaman of the Global Exchange who is particular about precise classifications, a rough sea means that the waves are 5 meters high and a gale means a sustained wind speed of 34 knots. However this does not make him respect the less furious seas as all can sometimes breed into wild gales. Overwhelming of the ship by the violence of the waves breaking over even large vessels have seriously damaged the ship of any size. Even large ships have been lost at sea. When this happens old textbook's surface in every yacht club bar in Wall Street, Collins Street. and every Main Street on the Global Exchange. “Is the weather change being caused by a temporary shift by a few bearish skippers taking a rest?” “Will she breed into a minus 20% correction?” Are they “Caught out” in a devastating full yachtsman’s gale? There are many theories written on the best method of rough weather handling craft on the Global Exchange. In my view, “Evasion” is the only policy. Even if more times than not, the forecasts of a possible gale does not eventuate. There is always time to get back on board and sometimes at a more comfortable level. If the skipper runs for shelter on the first sight of bearish weather, the seas are becoming hostile and has the common sense to wait for the storm to pass over head, the odds of him ever facing the eye of a revolving storm will be relatively small. However if he delays all can be lost. On the Global Exchange all can be lost in the most important ingredient in life. That is time itself, the horizontal “x” axis that I call “Time Decay.” No skipper worth his salt would consider dragging a wet sail and god save his crew if it is more than one. If you are allowed to read the secret logbooks of many experienced skippers you will note an all too common practice. It is often referred to as ‘boxing the bear’ Surprisingly, it is a most popular practice. Essentially, it stems from the old sailor's tale of the diverse spread of sail being the safest form of defence against rough sea and gale. They simply refuse to see the bear or love a fight." The Captain simply lowers the sails and is always happy to pay the small brokerages available nowadays for a few good nights sleep." Captain Chaza

Ahoy Captain I note NRT performance on increasing volume Management currently on a road show in the US promoting the company's interests. Regarding the Northern Watch duties happy to oblige but would require some assistance regarding watchlist stock codes of US stocks (often ADR's) on our watchlist. cheers $

Ahoy 1st mate spids I love that quote "I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once!" Do you own it and can I quote it in my book? Naturally it will be acknowledged to the 1st mate Spider, or Captain Spiderman or simply Terry if you wish I love it! Captain Chaza
