I'm a big open source advocate. If you've got a reasonably fast connection, you can download OpenOffice (50 Meg). This is a free office suite, allowing you to view and edit word documents, excel spreadsheets etc. Occasionally there are some minor differences in file format, but it works pretty well for me, and is a lot cheaper than the $500 or so for Microsoft Office.

Here's the link to their main site:
http://www.openoffice.org/

And here's the link for their Windows compatible download:
http://public.www.planetmirror.com/pub/openoffice/stable/1.0.3/OOo_1.0.3.1_Win32 Intel_install.zip

Cheers,
Josh

PS - You can also order it on CD for about $10 from http://www.everythinglinux.com.au/cat/software/openoffice

Hi Captain

Just sent u my email address.

Liked the look of mcr this afternoon so I doubled up my position at the end of trade. Having a bit of luck lately using the RSI Trendline (wk) with a short Daily MACD with these smaller sails.

Cheers

LaFeeVerte.
PS. Hope the cafe is progressing nicely. Just found a possible venue for my own this afternoon.

Ahoy Laffe

You are truly a great seaman to have onboard
I love it
I dont think we need the % to so many decimal points

Looks like the Captain has to do a bit more work into the foresails or be patient and wait??

The entire ship could also be displayed in order Hoisting the sails and then the class of Sail (white, blue , green & red) to show that size is not everything and is not always safe in this great Sport

I do feal brokerage must be included as sometimes the fear of double/triple fees can scare off the weak landlubber mentality when a man goes out to sea
Some feel they must win on Fees /Tax than win at the real game and get the greatest pleasure from it

I have a few minor adjustments & ideas on the trophy cabinet and I will send it to you right now

Captain Chaza

Hi guys

Have been waiting for the log book eagerly and it looks like taking shape well

My suggestion to help it flow a little better is the arrange the columns in this order (remember I am old and fat with fading eyes)

ABCFGHEIJ

Holding position should maybe be clearer and called current price

Well done

FR

A pretty good week for SPP.
It moved so quickly on Monday that I was only about to get about two thirds of what I was after.

Sorry Captain

D between H and E???

Sent private email as I did not think Cafe talk would enhance the current tack we are on. We don't know MACD's but we know our Salamanders

Also I did not want to

a/ Jeapordise the integrity of the masts publically
b/ Ask a dumb question which maybe the contents of which I should have been savvy to

I agree email can be an asset or a liability time wise.

I'll just step back and enjoy spectating in this sport until I learn the moves, the terminologies and the rules and then I might be an worthy crewmember.

Thanks for the winners over the last few weeks.

You are a wise Captain. I like your style and will look for your book if it comes out in paper.

FR

ps MACD's are more challenging for me and I will master them the same as we did Positive Caster, DOHC's ECU's and Roll Centres. After 30 years racing on land I really did want to go sailing. Guess I got too keen

Ahoy Fast crewman ronney

My apologies as I think we both miss-read each other
Not being familiar with Excel I did not know what you meant with the ABCF etc
I have since worked it out
The reason I was a little terse with you was re your email address

I checked SPP over with the mate in private last Sunday and was going to make it a ??? sent by private messenger
When I realized it was going to take too much time to find all the addresses I scrapped the idea
for a week or so as I still have to learn how to set up a group fax
I only use the ??? by secret messenger when I feel it will be hard to get as the 1st mate has already testified to and not because it is best

As a founding member of this great crew I wanted you also to help us hoist the SPP at dawn

You are too valuable a crewman to leave the ship and in any case we are too far out to sea for you to go anywhere
I love your humour as displayed in your email to me

"PS Should we only stay on one mast or take a bit off each mast.

I have been grabbing bits and pieces and to not much avail and if i had stayed on one mast it would have been much better

Ron"

Some sails fill straight away and others take time as other chartists see the light so please be patient with your humble Captain
Some never fill and even the Captain loses patience at times

By the time the MACD's spot us we should be already far out to sea and their support I always find is very encouraging

Hi Captain
I did redo your excel file. Inserted calculation formulas for future use with explanation. I use Office 2000 premier. This is the first time I'll do an attachement on this forum. If it you don't get let me know.
