Hi guys,
I am new to this forum, and I would like to know how I can set up the screening system to pull out stocks that are going into or are having a Bollinger Band contraction (squeeze)
Any help would be appreciated.
Beaul

Beaul,

Low Bollinger Band Width values are used to identify a Bollinger Band neck (or squeeze), where the bands converge before a sharp price movement. The new Band Width filter enables you to identify stocks where Band Width is, for example, below 5%.

Regards,
Colin

Question:

Trying to compose a screen based on stocks that have bollinger bands at their tightest i.e. volatility squeeze and may break out.
Pascal

Answer:
Try Bollinger >> Band Width >> Minimum 1; Maximum 3
Otherwise try Directional Movement ADX Values
Regards, Colin

Hi,

It appears the filter identifies the nominal value of the bollinger bands rather than showing stocks in a tight squeeze.

For example If i set the screen to minimum 1, maximum 3, I can never see a stock under 1 dollar.

Is there a way to filter for relative bandwidth - aka where the bands are contracting?

Thanks}
